What it says
What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Quarterly business review by Marcus Bell for Grisedale Search & Selection, a Starter customer since 1 May 2024. It reports contracted ARR of £20k, light usage of just under two active users a day against 15 licensed, and a term ending 30 Apr 2025.
What it is: a customer-facing QBR deck dated 1 Sep 2024, prepared by Marcus Bell, Customer Success Manager. It covers usage, value, support and a plan for the next quarter.
Commits: it is not a contract. It restates the Starter tier, 15 licensed users, contracted ARR of £20k and a term end of 30 Apr 2025, but sets no service levels or billing terms.
Unusual: the deck is candid that value is unmeasured: "We do not yet have a measured before-and-after". Usage is "just under two a day", so most of the allowance is unused.
Not settled: the deck does not say who at Grisedale attended or who signs. It does not show whether the renewal conversation led by Priya Raman took place, or what happened after the term end. It is a 2024 snapshot and should not be read as current.

Grisedale Search & Selection - QBR
Quarterly business review prepared by Marcus Bell, Customer Success Manager, BB-Demo. Review date: 1 Sep 2024.
1. Where we are
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Customer since | 1 May 2024 |
| Tier | Starter |
| Licensed users | 15 |
| Annual recurring revenue (contracted) | £20k |
| Current term ends | 30 Apr 2025 |
| Account owner | Priya Raman |
| Customer Success Manager | Marcus Bell |
Grisedale bought Starter so that consultants and the operations manager can see client accounts, open roles and client complaints in one place.
2. Usage
- Active users over the last 30 days averaged just under two a day.
- That is a small rise on the prior quarter, but from a low base.
- Fifteen users are licensed, so most of the allowance is still unused.
- I've pulled the numbers and the pattern is a handful of regular users rather than the whole consultant team.
What this tells us: the brain is being used, but by a small group. There is plenty of headroom within the current licence before anyone needs to talk about extra users.
3. Value so far
Read the whole document (2,528 characters)
- The operations manager and a few consultants are using the brain to check client accounts and open roles without switching between systems.
- Client complaints are visible alongside the account and role history, which was the main reason for buying.
- We do not yet have a measured before-and-after, so I would rather agree with Grisedale what a good outcome looks like than claim one.
4. Support and service
- One ticket in the last 30 days, and none of them high priority.
- No overdue invoices; billing is up to date.
- Nothing outstanding on our side that the team needs to chase.
5. Plan for the next quarter
| Action | Who | When |
|---|---|---|
| Short walkthrough for the consultants who have not logged in yet | Marcus Bell with the operations manager | Within the next month |
| Agree two or three questions each team should be asking the brain every week | Marcus Bell | Before the next check-in |
| Review usage again and share a simple usage summary | Marcus Bell | Next review |
| Early conversation on the renewal, ahead of the term end on 30 Apr 2025 | Priya Raman | Well before the term end |
6. Questions for Grisedale
- Which consultants would benefit most from a walkthrough?
- Is there a client or role question the team still answers by hand?
- Who else should be invited to the next review?
Happy to jump on a call to go through any of this. Shall we book 30 minutes?
Thanks, Marcus
