Internal draft proposal by Lewis Kerr dated 12 Aug 2026 for an Enterprise expansion: annual contract value £10k, order deal amount £4,548. Not reviewed with the customer and nothing is contracted until an order form is signed.

What it is: a working draft proposal from Lewis Kerr, Account Executive, dated 12 Aug 2026. It says it is "Not yet reviewed with the customer" and that "Nothing here is contracted until an order form is signed under the existing agreement."

Commits: nothing yet. It states the expansion is "co-termed to your renewal", so the term end of 27 Feb 2027 does not move, and existing Enterprise service levels and the nightly refresh are unchanged.

Unusual: two figures sit side by side. The annual contract value is £10k and the order deal amount is £4,548, and the text warns the deal amount "should not be read as an annual price".

Not settled: the lines making up the expansion, the teams it reaches, the open high priority tickets and finance's check of the two figures. The text also notes active use is below licensed users and has eased, with four tickets in thirty days.

Body

Merriott Lyle Distribution - Proposal v1

Status: Draft. Prepared by Lewis Kerr, Account Executive, BG-Demo. Draft date: 12 Aug 2026. Not yet reviewed with the customer.

Purpose of this proposal

This document sets out an expansion to Merriott Lyle Distribution's existing Enterprise subscription. It is a working draft for internal review first and for discussion with your team second. Nothing here is contracted until an order form is signed under the existing agreement.

To put a number on it, the expansion carries an annual value of £10k, and the deal amount for the order is £4,548. The two figures are different things and are set out separately below so that nobody reads one as the other.

Merriott Lyle Distribution bought Enterprise so that branch, key-account and credit-control teams see each trade account's orders, disputes, calls and invoices together, across a network of about one hundred and twenty branches in the Midlands and the North.

What the usage tells us

We want this proposal to be honest about adoption, because an expansion is only worth buying if people use it.

  • Active use sits well below the number of licensed users, and it has eased compared with the previous quarter.
  • There have been four support tickets in the last thirty days, two of them high priority. Daniel Okafor is reviewing these with the support team and will share the detail separately.
  • There are no overdue invoices. Payment has been on time, so this is a question of value and adoption, not of money.

On that evidence we are not proposing to add capacity for its own sake. The expansion below is framed so that it supports the teams already using the brain and gives a clear reason for others to join.

Proposed scope

The expansion sits within the Enterprise tier and the existing agreement. It is co-termed to your renewal, so the current term end of 27 Feb 2027 does not move.

LineBasisValue
Enterprise expansionAnnual contract value£10k
Order deal amountTotal value of this order£4,548

All prices are exclusive of VAT. The deal amount is the total value of this order and should not be read as an annual price. The annual contract value is the yearly figure that will continue at renewal.

What stays the same

  • The existing Enterprise service levels, including availability, first response times and data freshness credits, are unchanged.
  • The nightly refresh commitment is unchanged.
  • Security settings, single sign-on and user provisioning stay as configured.
  • The executive sponsor arrangement continues.

Open points before this goes to the customer

This draft is incomplete in the following ways, and we would rather say so now.

  1. The exact lines that make up the expansion need to be confirmed against what the branch and credit-control teams are asking for.
  2. We need to agree which teams the expansion is meant to reach, and who on your side owns adoption within them.
  3. The open high priority tickets should be resolved, or have a clear plan, before an order form is issued.
  4. The relationship between the deal amount and the annual contract value should be checked once more by finance before anything is sent.
