What it says
What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26First quarterly business review for Calderbrook Housing Group, prepared by Natalie Eze and dated 26 Jan 2025. It reports rising usage, no tickets and no overdue invoices, with £44,000 contracted and the term ending 1 Sep 2025. It is now stale.
What it is: a customer-facing QBR deck, stored as final, written by Natalie Eze for the Growth tier account. It names Tom Ashdown as account owner and gives the review date as 26 Jan 2025.
Commits: the deck is a status report, not a contract. It restates "Contracted annual recurring revenue is £44,000 under the executed order form" and a current term that "runs to 1 Sep 2025". It sets internal actions, including opening the renewal conversation "well before 1 Sep 2025".
Unusual: usage is described only in words ("a rise of more than a third"), with no counts of questions, connectors or users. No value examples are captured yet.
Not settled: the deck is about twenty months old as of today and says nothing about the renewal outcome, later usage or the current owner. Tom Ashdown's status should be checked against HR before treating him as owner.

Calderbrook Housing Group is a housing association with homes across West Yorkshire. The business-intelligence team bought the brain to bring tenant calls, repairs tickets, complaints and rent arrears into one board-ready picture, held inside your own Snowflake account.
We are now a little under five months into the first term, so this review is the first full look at how the brain has settled in.
Usage and adoption
Headline: active users have grown strongly against the prior quarter.
Read the whole document (4,623 characters)
- The average number of people active over the last thirty days is well up on the previous quarter, a rise of more than a third.
- Activity is concentrated in the business-intelligence team, which is what we expected at this stage and matches why the brain was bought.
- Against the 40 licensed users there is plenty of headroom. Only a minority of licences are in regular use, so the platform has room to reach more teams without any change to the contract.
What this tells us
- Adoption is moving in the right direction and the trajectory matters more than the absolute level at this point.
- The next gain is breadth: bringing the people who consume the board-ready picture into the brain directly, not only through the team that builds it.
Value delivered
- One picture instead of four. Tenant calls, repairs tickets, complaints and rent arrears now sit in a single layer, so the team no longer reconciles those sources by hand before each board cycle.
- Board-ready output. The business-intelligence team can ask a question of the brain and trace the answer back to the underlying records, which shortens preparation for board and committee papers.
- Dashboards built by your team. Growth includes the dashboards builder, and the team's investment in building its own views is a good sign of ownership.
We would like to capture one or two concrete examples in your own words during the next conversation, so the value can be stated plainly for your leadership.
Support and service health
| Measure | Last thirty days |
|---|---|
| Support tickets raised | None |
| High priority tickets | None |
| Overdue invoices | None |
- No tickets were raised in the period, and nothing is open.
- The nightly refresh has run as expected and the service has stayed within the Growth service levels.
- A quiet support queue alongside rising usage reads as a healthy account. We will keep watching for any source that stops loading, since that is usually the first sign of trouble after a system change on your side.
Commercial position
- Contracted annual recurring revenue is £44,000 under the executed order form.
- Invoices are paid up to date, with nothing overdue.
- The current term runs to 1 Sep 2025. A formal renewal notice will follow well ahead of that date, and Natalie will lead the renewal conversation with Tom Ashdown alongside.
Plan for the next quarter
| Action | Owner | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Agree two or three business questions that would bring a second team into the brain | Natalie Eze with the business-intelligence team | Within the quarter |
| Capture value examples for the board-ready reporting | Natalie Eze | Before the next review |
| Review which dashboards are used most and retire any that are not | Business-intelligence team with Natalie Eze | Within the quarter |
| Check connector coverage against the Growth allowance and note any source still to be added | Natalie Eze | Next few weeks |
| Open the renewal conversation and confirm term and scope | Tom Ashdown and Natalie Eze | Well before 1 Sep 2025 |
Summary
- Adoption is rising and the account is healthy.
- No support issues and no overdue invoices.
- Plenty of licence headroom to bring in further teams.
- Focus for the next quarter: breadth of use, evidence of value and preparing a smooth renewal.
Thank you to the Calderbrook Housing Group team for the time and openness this quarter. Speak soon.
