Final proposal of 8 Nov 2024 from Tom Ashdown recommending Brackwell Freight move from Starter to Growth when the Starter term ends on 30 Nov 2024. It states no price; the Growth order form is to set price and terms.

Final proposal of 8 Nov 2024 from Tom Ashdown recommending Brackwell Freight move from Starter to Growth when the Starter term ends on 30 Nov 2024. It states no price; the Growth order form is to set price and terms.

What it is: a customer-facing upsell proposal written by Tom Ashdown, Account Executive. It argues that rising use and a quiet service record mean the customer has outgrown Starter.

Commits: little. It is a proposal, not an order form. It says "The exact annual price and the contract value will be set out in the Growth order form, which is the document that governs price and terms."

Unusual: no discount, service level figure or connector date is stated. Growth is described as annual, invoiced annually in advance on standard thirty-day payment terms.

Not settled: the Growth price, user and connector numbers, the P1 response time and whether the move was signed. The evidence does not show a signature, and the proposal is nearly two years old, so it should not be read as current.

Brackwell Freight Ltd - Proposal

Moving from Starter to Growth

Prepared by: Tom Ashdown, Account Executive, BB-Demo Customer success manager: Marcus Bell Date: 8 Nov 2024 Status: Final Version: one

Context

Brackwell Freight has been a BB-Demo customer since 1 Dec 2023, on the Starter tier. You bought the brain so that revenue operations and the depot account managers could see accounts, delivery-exception tickets and calls together, and spot at-risk retail contracts early. Road freight and contract warehousing for retailers runs from Trafford Park and five other depots, and that shape matters for what follows.

Your current Starter term ends on 30 Nov 2024. Before it does, we wanted to put a clear recommendation in front of you rather than let the renewal drift through as a like-for-like roll-over.

What we have seen over the year

The short version is that the brain is being used, and used more each quarter.

Read the whole document (4,655 characters)
  • Adoption is growing. The number of people active in the brain on a typical day has risen sharply against the previous quarter. Starter was sized for one team, and the use now clearly reaches beyond that.
  • You are close to the edge of the plan. The Starter tier includes fifteen users as a soft limit and a small, fixed set of connectors as a hard limit. Wider adoption across the depots will press on both.
  • The service has been quiet. There was a single support ticket in the last month, nothing high priority, and no overdue invoices. We read that as a healthy account that has outgrown its first plan, not one that is struggling.

Our view is that the brain has earned a wider remit at Brackwell, and the plan should now match how you actually work.

Recommendation

We recommend moving Brackwell Freight from Starter to Growth when the current term ends.

Growth is built for several teams rather than one. Compared with Starter it gives you:

  • a larger user allowance, so depot account managers can have their own seats without rationing them;
  • more connectors, so the systems sitting around your delivery-exception process can sit alongside your CRM, helpdesk and call recorder;
  • the dashboards builder, so your revenue operations team can build and keep the views they currently put together by hand;
  • quarterly business reviews with Marcus, rather than the six-monthly check-in on Starter;
  • a faster first response on priority-one issues, with the service level written into the order form.

The brain continues to run inside your own Snowflake account, as it does today. Nothing about where your data lives changes.

Scope

The proposal is deliberately modest in what it changes.

  • Your existing connectors and configuration carry across as they are.
  • Your current users keep their access with no interruption.
  • Additional depot users are added once the Growth order form is signed.
  • Marcus will agree a short list of dashboards with your revenue operations team in the first quarterly review.

We are not proposing a new implementation project. The foundations are already in place from the original Starter rollout.

Commercials

The Growth subscription is an annual fee, invoiced annually in advance on our standard thirty-day payment terms. The exact annual price and the contract value will be set out in the Growth order form, which is the document that governs price and terms. I would rather confirm those figures in that document than quote from memory in a proposal.

Two points worth knowing:

  • Your current Starter subscription ends on 30 Nov 2024 and the Growth subscription would follow straight on, so there is no overlap and no gap.
  • Any change to the service levels is agreed in the order form, so you will see it in writing before you sign.

Why now

There are two practical reasons to decide before the end of this month.

  • Timing. The Starter term finishes on 30 Nov 2024. Signing before then means the depot users are live from the first day of the new term.
  • Momentum. Usage is climbing now. Putting people onto a plan that fits keeps that going instead of asking them to wait for seats.

Next steps

  • Tom Ashdown to send the Growth order form for review, with the price and terms spelled out.
  • Brackwell leadership to confirm the move to Growth and sign the order form before the current term ends.
  • Marcus Bell to book the first quarterly review once the new term is under way and agree the dashboards to build.

If anything here does not match how you see the year, tell me and I will change the proposal. No drama either way.

Cheers, Tom Ashdown Account Executive, BB-Demo
