What it says
What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Version 1 proposal from Tom Ashdown for the Starter tier: £19.5k per year, with a £25.5k first-term deal total including implementation. Availability is ninety-nine point five per cent, with P1 first response within four business hours. No discount applied.
What it is: a proposal dated 18 Oct 2023, prepared by Tom Ashdown for Brackwell Freight Ltd. It offers the Starter tier for one team, with up to four connectors and a four-week implementation.
Commits: it sets out standard Starter service levels and pricing, but as a proposal it binds no one. It says "the annual subscription price is £19.5k" and the £25.5k total is "not an annual price".
Unusual: nothing off the standard Starter terms. The text says no discount is applied and payment terms are thirty days from invoice.
Not settled: the text says Tom will "confirm the final figures on the order form before anything is signed". It does not show whether the proposal was accepted, or what the executed order form says. The executed order form, not this proposal, decides contracted price and terms.

Body
Brackwell Freight Ltd - Proposal
Prepared for: Brackwell Freight Ltd, Manchester Prepared by: Tom Ashdown, Account Executive, BB-Demo Date: 18 Oct 2023 Version: 1 (final)
1. Context
Brackwell Freight runs road freight and contract warehousing for retailers, working from Trafford Park and five other depots. Over our conversations, a consistent picture has come up: the revenue operations team and the depot account managers each hold part of the story on a retail contract, but nobody sees it all in one place.
- Account records sit in the CRM.
- Delivery-exception tickets sit in the helpdesk.
- Conversations with retail customers sit in call recordings and mailboxes.
When those three are reconciled by hand, an at-risk retail contract is usually spotted late. This proposal sets out how BB-Demo would put them together so the team can ask one question and get one answer.
2. What you told us you want
Read the whole document (5,263 characters)
- Revenue operations and depot account managers looking at the same account, with the same facts.
- Delivery-exception tickets visible next to the account and the calls, not in a separate queue.
- An early warning when a retail contract starts to look shaky, before the customer raises it.
- A way to start small with one team and prove the value before widening it.
3. What we propose
We propose the Starter tier of the BB-Demo company brain: one AI-queryable layer over your own systems, built and run inside your own Snowflake account, so your data stays under your control.
Scope
| Area | What is included |
|---|---|
| Tier | Starter, for one team |
| Capabilities | Pages, chat and search across connected sources |
| Connectors | Up to four connectors (hard limit for the tier) |
| Users | The Starter user allowance (a soft limit) |
| Refresh | Nightly refresh, complete by 07:00 customer local time on business days |
| Customer success | A named customer success manager, Marcus Bell, with a six-monthly check-in |
Likely first connectors
We would agree the final list with you in the first week. From what we have heard, the natural candidates are:
- your CRM, for accounts and contacts
- the helpdesk, for delivery-exception tickets
- the call recorder, for conversations with retail customers
- the accounting system, if you want commercial context beside the operational picture
If you later want to cover more sources or more teams, that is a conversation about moving up a tier or adding connectors, and nothing in this proposal stops you doing so.
4. Implementation
Implementation is a one-off, fixed-fee piece of work delivered over four weeks. In outline:
| Phase | What happens |
|---|---|
| Week one | Agree the connector list, access and the first questions the team wants answered |
| Weeks two and three | Connect the sources, load the data into your Snowflake account and check it against what you know to be true |
| Week four | Train the team, tune the first pages and searches, and hand over to customer success |
We will run a demonstration on your own data early on, so you judge the product on your accounts and tickets and not on a generic example.
5. Pricing
| Item | Basis | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Starter subscription | Annual, billed annually in advance | £19.5k per year |
| Implementation, Starter | One-off fixed fee | Included in the deal total below |
| Total deal value | Subscription plus one-off implementation | £25.5k |
To be clear on what each number means: the annual subscription price is £19.5k. The deal total of £25.5k is the value of the whole deal for the first term, including the one-off implementation fee. It is not an annual price, and the implementation fee does not recur.
No discount is applied in this proposal. Payment terms are thirty days from invoice. As I am writing from the price book, I will confirm the final figures on the order form before anything is signed.
6. Service levels
The Starter tier comes with the standard service levels:
- Availability of ninety-nine point five per cent.
- First response on a highest-priority (P1) incident within four business hours.
- Nightly refresh complete by 07:00 customer local time on business days.
- Service credits for availability only, at five per cent of one month's fee.
7. Why this fits Brackwell
You do not need a company-wide programme to get value from this. One team, a handful of connectors and a clear question (which retail contracts are at risk, and why) is a sensible place to begin. If it works for revenue operations and the depot account managers, the case for widening it makes itself, using your own usage and the questions your people are asking.
8. Next steps
- You review this proposal with your colleagues in revenue operations and in the depots.
- We get a short call in the diary to take your questions and any changes to scope.
- I send the order form under our standard master agreement for your review.
- On signature, we agree a start date and begin the four-week implementation.
There is no drama in any of this, and I am happy to walk your team through it at whatever pace suits. Leave that with me and I will keep it moving.
Best, Tom
