What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Discovery with Camilla Dewsbury and Marcus Fane. Lettings, maintenance and invoice data is scattered and reporting is manual. Priya Raman quoted Starter at £20k a year. They want to see it on real data.
What happened: Priya Raman ran a discovery call with Camilla Dewsbury, Head of Lettings, and Marcus Fane, Director, on 18 Mar 2024. Both described scattered property, invoice and email data.
Customer view: Camilla says the approach cannot scale as they grow. Marcus wants revenue by property type and landlord without collating reports by hand.
Commercial: Priya recommended Starter at £6,000 implementation and £20k a year, £26k in year one. Marcus asked the price and setup time but did not push back on it in the call.
Watch: Growth is the likely next step if they outgrow 15 users or four connectors. A demo on real data and a questionnaire were agreed, with a further call to be diarised.

Transcript
- Priya RamanHi Camilla, Marcus, thanks for taking the call. How are you both?
- Camilla DewsburyGood, thanks.
- Marcus FaneYes, well.
- Priya RamanPerfect. So Camilla, you reached out to us, tell me a bit about Hampton Lucy Estates and what's on your mind.
- Camilla DewsburyYeah, so we manage residential lettings and block management across Warwickshire. We've got about 200 properties on our books, lots of different landlords, some managing their own properties, some using our block management service. It's quite scattered.
- Priya RamanOkay. And what's the challenge?
- Camilla DewsburyWe use a property management system for the lettings side, but we've also got maintenance requests coming in, invoices, tenant queries, it's all over the place. We use email, we've got spreadsheets, some notes in the system. When someone asks, 'What's the status of this property?' or 'How much have we invoiced this landlord this year?', it takes ages to pull together.
- Marcus FaneAnd from my perspective, I'd like to know the financial picture. Revenue by property type, by landlord, invoicing outstanding. Right now, I'm collating reports manually every month.
- Priya RamanSo there's a reporting pain and an operational pain. What systems are you using?
- Camilla DewsburyProperty management system, quite specialist, works well for letting. Accounting in Xero. And then email, spreadsheets, and some notes.
- Priya RamanRight. So if we could bring those together: property system, Xero, email, you could ask questions and get answers without all the manual work?
- Camilla DewsburyYeah, that would be useful. We're growing, and I can't scale this approach.
- Marcus FaneWhat does something like that cost?
- Priya RamanWe have a few tiers. Given your size and the fact that you've got a fairly focused operation, lettings and block management, I'd probably recommend Starter. That's four system connectors, 15 users, dashboards, all the core stuff. It's £6,000 for implementation, four weeks, and then £19,500 a year. So year one is £25,500 all in.
- Marcus FaneRight. How long would this take to set up?
- Priya RamanFour weeks from contract to live. So if you signed in April, you'd be up and running by early May.
- Camilla DewsburyAnd what would that implementation involve?
- Priya RamanWe'd connect your property system and Xero, pull in email if you want that. We'd load historical data, configure the connectors, train your team on how to use the platform. It's pretty hands-on.
- Marcus FaneAnd what happens after? Are you going to support us?
- Priya RamanYeah, absolutely. We do a check-in every six months, and you can reach out anytime if you've got questions. It's part of the subscription.
- Camilla DewsburyOkay. So how do we move forward?
- Priya RamanI'd love to do a demo. Show you what the platform looks like, walk through how it would work for Hampton Lucy. I can use sample lettings data, or if you're happy to share some real data, I can show you on your actual properties.
- Marcus FaneI think we'd want to see it on real data.
- Priya RamanPerfect. So I'd need access to your property system and Xero, I'd pull some real data through, nothing sensitive, just the structure. And then we can show you how the brain would work on your actual information.
- Camilla DewsburyWe can arrange that.
- Priya RamanBrilliant. So let me sort the demo, and we'll get another call in the diary. I'm thinking mid-April? Does that work?
- Camilla DewsburyYeah, that's fine.
- Priya RamanGreat. I'll send you a quickquestionnaire so I understand your data better, just takes ten minutes. And then we'll have the demo call and go from there. Sound good?
- Marcus FaneYeah, sounds good.
- Priya RamanBrilliant. Cheers, both. Speak soon.
