What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Usage is down sharply because a heavy contract management user has left and not been replaced. Anita Mistry still finds the brain valuable and expects a new hire to use it. Renewal is 1 May 2026.
What happened: On 6 Jan 2026 Marcus Bell flagged that only one or two people were active most days, well down on the quarter before. Anita explained a colleague doing many day-to-day queries has moved on.
Customer view: Anita says she still uses it regularly and finds it valuable. She expects a new contract manager to need the client site, audit and invoice data.
Commercial: The renewal on 1 May 2026 follows a weak usage quarter. Value was not questioned, but the user base has shrunk and the hire is unconfirmed.
Watch: One remaining user is a key-person risk. The evidence does not show a hiring date.

Transcript
- Marcus BellHi Anita, thanks for getting on this morning. I've pulled the latest numbers for your account and wanted to walk through where things stand with the brain.
- Anita MistryYeah, of course. How are we looking?
- Marcus BellSo what I'm seeing is usage has been quite light recently. Over the last month we've had around one or two people active on the brain most days, and that's actually down significantly from the quarter before. I wanted to check in and understand what's behind that.
- Anita MistryMm, yeah, I see. To be honest we've had some staffing changes in contract management. A colleague who was using it regularly has moved on, and we haven't replaced them yet.
- Marcus BellRight, okay. I appreciate you being straight with me. Is the brain still useful for what you need, or is there something we could do better?
- Anita MistryNo, I still use it regularly. It's just that the person we lost: they were doing a lot of the day-to-day queries, tickets, all of that. I still find it valuable myself.
- Marcus BellYeah, that makes sense. So when you do hire someone into that role, would they be using the brain regularly?
- Anita MistryYeah, I'd expect so. It brings together the client site info, the audits, the invoices. That's exactly what a new contract manager would need.
- Marcus BellPerfect. I'd like to help with that transition when it happens. Shall we schedule a training session for your new person once they're on board? I'm happy to jump on a call.
- Anita MistryYeah, that sounds good. I'll reach out once we've got someone in place.
- Marcus BellBrilliant. One other thing: your contract's coming up for renewal on 1 May 2026. We'll be in touch in a few weeks to discuss the next term, but nothing to worry about now.
- Anita MistryYeah, thanks for the heads up.
- Marcus BellThanks, Marcus.
