What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026First onboarding call. Three of four Starter connectors chosen, CRM permissions too narrow so the brain looked empty, finance access still to be agreed. Only Aisling is using it so far.
What happened: Hamza walked Deirdre and Aisling through connector choice and the admin area. An earlier ticket was a permissions fault on the CRM role, which covered clients but not roles or contacts.
Customer view: Deirdre wants consultants to see open roles and invoices on one page. She said it would save hours because they flick between three windows.
Commercial: Clashmore is on Starter with four connectors as a hard limit and fifteen licensed users. Three are started and one is held in reserve, possibly for the shared drive spreadsheets.
Watch: Only Aisling logs in at present. Value depends on the CRM permissions being widened, finance approving read-only access and consultants being brought in.

- Placements held in consultants' spreadsheets will not be indexed unless the drive is connected.
Opportunities

- Fifteen licensed users leave room to roll out to the whole consultant team.
Transcript
- Hamza AkhtarMorning, Deirdre. Morning, Aisling. Can you both hear me all right?
- Deirdre BarryMorning, Hamza, grand, loud and clear. Aisling, you're on mute, I think.
- Aisling KielySorry, sorry. Morning. Is that better?
- Hamza AkhtarPerfect. How's the week starting? Is it raining in Cork or is that a cliché?
- Deirdre BarryAh, it's a cliché that's also true. Lashing since seven. Quick one before we start, actually. One of the consultants asked me yesterday, can she see a client's open roles and the invoices on the same page, or is that a later thing?
- Hamza AkhtarThat's exactly what it's for, so it's the thing we're building towards. Roles, placements and invoices all sit in the same place, so when she's about to ring a client she asks the brain and gets the lot. Today is mostly about getting the sources connected so there's something there for her to ask.
- Deirdre BarryGrand, that'd save us hours. They're forever flicking between three windows.
- Hamza AkhtarRight. So for today I'd like to cover three things. Which sources we connect first, who owns each one on your side, and what Aisling needs from us to get access sorted. Does that sound fair?
- Aisling KielyYeah, that works. I'm the one who'll be doing most of the connecting, so I'd rather know now what you need.
- Hamza AkhtarGood. You're on Starter, which means four connectors in total and it's a hard limit, so we should choose them with some care. I'd suggest the ones that carry the story you described when you bought. Your CRM for clients and roles, wherever placements are recorded, the accounting system for invoices, and then we keep one in reserve.
- Deirdre BarryWhy keep one in reserve? Can the consultants see more if we use all four straight away?
- Hamza AkhtarThey could. My worry is that if something changes later, say you move a system, you'd have to swap one out. Honestly it's your call. I'd just start with three and prove them before we spend the fourth.
- Deirdre BarryRight. I'm easy. Aisling, what do you think?
- Aisling KielyThree is fine. Placements are the messy one though. Some of them are in the CRM properly and some are in a spreadsheet the consultants keep on the shared drive, so I don't know what the brain will make of that.
- Hamza AkhtarMm. That's useful to know, and very common in recruitment, to be fair. Short answer is the brain reads what's in the connected source, so the spreadsheet won't be picked up unless we connect the drive. What I'd say is, get the placements into the CRM record where you can, and we'll see how much it finds before deciding whether the fourth connector goes on the drive.
- Aisling KielyOkay. That's a bit of tidying but I can do that.
- Deirdre BarryClean records, that's the whole point. I'll tell the consultants to stop keeping their own sheets. They won't like it, mind.
- Hamza AkhtarThey might like it once they see the result. Right, let me share my screen and show you where the connections get set up.
- Hamza AkhtarCan you see it? So this is the admin area. Aisling, you're listed as admin already. Each connector has a status, and when we add one it'll go from pending to loading to live. The first load can take a while depending on how much history there is.
- Aisling KielyIs there a way of seeing how far through it is?
- Hamza AkhtarYes, this count here is records indexed. It climbs while it loads, and once it flattens out it's caught up. If it stays flat and the status says loading for a long time, that's the sign something's wrong, and that's when you raise a ticket.
- Deirdre BarryIs that what happened with the one Aisling raised? The ticket last week?
- Aisling KielySort of. The permissions on the CRM account I used weren't wide enough, so it connected but pulled almost nothing. I marked it high priority because I thought we were stuck.
- Hamza AkhtarRight, and that's fair, you couldn't have known. What I'll do after this is check the permission set with you so we don't repeat it for the accounting source. Can you do a screen share of the role you used?
- Aisling KielyGive me a second. Let me find the right window.
- Aisling KielyThere. It's a read-only role, but I think it's only on the clients and not the contacts or the roles.
- Hamza AkhtarYeah, that's it. Roles and contacts are missing, which is why the brain looked empty. Nothing's wrong with the brain. Can you widen that to include the objects for roles, contacts and placements, still read-only?
- Aisling KielyI think so. I might need to ask a colleague in IT, since I don't control the roles in the CRM myself.
- Deirdre BarryI'll chase them today, Aisling. Send me what you want asked for and I'll put it to them in words they'll act on.
- Hamza AkhtarThat'd be great. I'll write the exact permission list in a short note straight after this so there's no guessing.
- Deirdre BarryGrand. And the accounting side, who needs to say yes there? Because that's our finance team, not me.
- Hamza AkhtarSomeone who can create a read-only connection to the accounting system. Doesn't need to be anyone senior, just whoever administers it. I'd ask them for the same kind of access: invoices and clients, read-only. It's worth telling them upfront that nothing is written back.
- Aisling KielyThey'll want that in writing, I'd say.
- Hamza AkhtarFine, I'll put that in the note as well, in plain terms. And remember the whole thing runs inside your own Snowflake account, so the data doesn't leave your environment. That usually settles it.
- Deirdre BarryGood. Cian will ask me about that, so that's helpful to have in the note.
- Hamza AkhtarOf course. Now, usage. At the moment it's really only Aisling logging in, which is what you'd expect at this stage. Once the sources are live the next piece is getting the consultants in. You've got fifteen licensed users, so there's room for the whole team.
- Deirdre BarryFifteen's plenty. I'd start with maybe a handful of the keener ones, and then roll it out to the rest once they've seen it work.
- Hamza AkhtarThat's the way I'd do it too. Pick people who'll tell you honestly when something's off. So, next steps. Aisling widens the permissions with help from IT, Deirdre chases finance, and I send the note today and then we speak again next Monday to check the load.
- Aisling KielyNext Monday works for me.
- Deirdre BarryAnd me. Thanks a million, Hamza. Thanks a million, Aisling.
- Hamza AkhtarSpeak then. Cheers both.
