What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Demo on 12 May 2026 for DeShawn Mitchell, Carlos Medina and Tammy Ledbetter. The sceptical data director came round to a different-job framing. Enterprise is scoped at one hundred fifty-five thousand pounds all-in, target to sign 4 Dec 2026.
What happened: Hannah Lowe showed the brain answering on a slice of Etowah Lane data with a source cited on every sentence. Carlos Medina opened as the sceptic and left calling it a different job from Signalvane.
Customer view: Carlos set three conditions: security comfortable with data location and access, a larger slice of data, and a clear story that Signalvane stays. Tammy Ledbetter wants a sentence at the counter, not a chart.
Commercial: Jordan Pike scoped Enterprise at one hundred fifty-five thousand pounds all-in with implementation, not a per-year figure. The 4 Dec 2026 sign target depends on the security review.
Watch: Permissions by region are undesigned and Carlos calls the groups messy. The credit source is not yet connected.

Follow-up
Next steps
Current to 9 Oct 26- Hannah Lowe to write up security and data location answers for Carlos Medina's team and a note on sitting alongside Signalvane.
- Jordan Pike to send Laura the subscription and implementation breakdown separately.
- Jordan Pike to book a working session with Carlos to plan a larger data slice including credit.
Risks
Current to 9 Oct 26- The 4 Dec 2026 sign target depends on a security review owned by Carlos Medina's team.
- Carlos wants to see it work on more than a slice of data before saying yes.
- Regional permission design is unresolved and the customer's groups are messy.
Opportunities
Current to 9 Oct 26- Enterprise tier with single sign-on and group controls for regional branch access.
- Connecting the credit source in a larger data slice would extend the use case.
Transcript
- Jordan Pike NoneHey everyone, can you hear me okay? I see DeShawn and Hannah. Carlos, Tammy, you're coming in now.
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneHear you fine, Jordan. Good afternoon. Sorry, I'm walking in from the car park, give me one second to get a seat.
- Carlos Medina NoneAfternoon. I'm here. My camera's being slow, I'll leave it off for now.
- Tammy Ledbetter NoneAfternoon, all. I've got about an hour before I'm back in the car, so I'm glad it's not longer.
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneOkay, I'm sat. Quick story first, because it's why I wanted this call. I was at a branch outside Macon last week. The counter guy had a contractor in front of him asking for another excavator. Meanwhile credit had that same contractor on a hold from another branch two counties over. Counter guy had no idea. None.
- Tammy Ledbetter NoneThat happens in my region every other week, honestly. Branch managers find out about a hold when the customer complains about it.
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneRight. So that's the picture. Let's keep this moving. Jordan, over to you.
- Jordan Pike NoneThanks, DeShawn. Great story, and it's exactly the right one. Here's where we are. One-line agenda: Hannah shows the brain answering questions on a slice of your own data, then we leave time for questions and next steps. We have the full hour, and I'll watch the clock. Hannah, do you want to start by asking what everyone most needs to see?
- Hannah Lowe NoneYes, thanks Jordan. Hello all. Before I share anything, what do you most need to know by the end of this call? I'd rather show you one thing that matters than ten that don't.
- Carlos Medina NoneI'll go first, if that's okay. To be transparent, I'm the sceptical one on this call. We already run Signalvane across the group. It draws the dashboards for finance, for operations, for the branches. Rental utilisation, receivables ageing, all of it. So my question is simple: what does this do that Signalvane doesn't?
- Hannah Lowe NoneThat's a fair question, and a useful one. The short answer is that I wouldn't try to replace what Signalvane draws. The longer answer is that dashboards are very good at numbers you already decided to measure. What I'd like to show is the stuff that never made it into a measure: what was said on calls, what's in the email threads, what the branches wrote in their tickets.
- Carlos Medina NoneOkay. So it's complementary, you're saying.
- Hannah Lowe NoneLet me show you rather than say it. Then you can tell me whether I'm right. Sharing my screen now. Can you see a page with a search box and a chat panel?
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneYep, I see it.
- Tammy Ledbetter NoneSame here.
- Hannah Lowe NoneGood. So this is the brain, running inside a Snowflake account. For this demo we connected a small slice of your data last week: your CRM, the call recorder, a set of mailboxes and the helpdesk. It's a slice, so please don't judge coverage. Judge the kind of answer you get.
- Carlos Medina NoneWhose Snowflake account, just so I'm clear?
- Hannah Lowe NoneYours. Nothing leaves it. We build and run inside your account, so your security team keeps the keys. I'll put that in writing for you after the call, Carlos, because I know it'll come up.
- Jordan Pike NoneAnd to be transparent, Carlos, we'd expect your security team in the room for that part. We never want them finding out something late.
- Carlos Medina NoneGood. Because they will ask.
- Hannah Lowe NoneOkay, first question. DeShawn, you gave me the Macon story. Let me ask something close to it. I'm typing: which of our national contractor accounts have branches telling us different things about payment or credit this month?
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneHa. Go on then.
- Hannah Lowe NoneGive it a few seconds. It's reading across the sources, not just one table.
- Hannah Lowe NoneRight. So here's the answer. It's picked out one contractor account, and it's written a short paragraph. Two branches have raised the same invoice dispute, in two different ways. One branch has it in a helpdesk ticket, worded as a billing query. Another branch has it in an email thread with the contractor, worded as a delivery problem. And there's a call where someone from credit mentions the account is on watch.
- Tammy Ledbetter NoneWait, so it's tying the ticket and the email and the call together as the same customer?
- Hannah Lowe NoneYes. And this is the part I care about. Look at the right-hand side. Every sentence in that answer has a source next to it. This one links to the ticket, this one to the email thread, this one to the call, with the point in the recording. You can click through and read the original.
- Carlos Medina NoneShow me one. Click the call.
- Hannah Lowe NoneSure. There. That's the recording transcript, and it's jumped to the moment. Someone from credit says the account is on a watch while they wait for a payment. And the answer used only that. It didn't add anything.
- Carlos Medina NoneOkay. That's better than I expected. But I'll push on it. How does it know it's the same contractor? Names are a mess. One branch types the legal name, one types a nickname.
- Hannah Lowe NoneTo be precise, it matches on what the systems already hold: the CRM organisation, the email domain, the helpdesk requester. Where it can't match with confidence it says so, and doesn't guess. I can show you a case like that in a minute. I'd rather it admitted a gap than invented a link.
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneThat's what I care about. Show me the account, not the dashboard. What does the branch see?
- Jordan Pike NoneThat's a great question, DeShawn, and Tammy's the one who'd actually live it. Tammy, what would you want the branch manager to see at the counter?
- Tammy Ledbetter NoneHonestly? Three things. Is there a hold. Has anyone at another branch had a problem with this customer lately. And who do I call. I don't want a chart. I want to ask a question and get a sentence.
- Hannah Lowe NoneThen let's try your exact words. I'll ask: has anyone at another branch had a problem with this contractor lately, and who should the manager call? Same account as before.
- Hannah Lowe NoneOkay, it's back. It says two other branches have open issues, and it names the credit contact from the call transcript. Again, each statement has its source. And look at this line at the bottom. It says the helpdesk ticket is still open and the last update is a while ago. So it's telling you how fresh its own evidence is.
- Tammy Ledbetter NoneOkay, that I like. The last update part. Half the time I don't know if what I'm told is current.
- Carlos Medina NoneMm. Freshness. So how often does it refresh?
- Hannah Lowe NoneOvernight, every business day, and on the Enterprise tier that's a commitment in the contract, not a hope. Complete by seven in the morning customer local time. Your Atlanta branches would have it before they open.
- Carlos Medina NoneIn the contract. Good to know. Our current dashboards are only as fresh as whatever was loaded, and nobody can tell from the chart.
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneCarlos, just to be clear, I'm not knocking Signalvane. It's what the company chose, it works, and finance lives in it.
- Carlos Medina NoneNo, I know. I'm not hearing a knock either. I'm hearing a different job. Dashboards for what we measure. This for what we wrote down but never measured.
- Hannah Lowe NoneThat's a better way of putting it than mine. Can I try to test it, though? Carlos, give me a question that Signalvane would struggle with. Something you already know the answer to, so you can check me.
- Carlos Medina NoneHmm. Okay. Ask it why a contractor reduced their rentals. Utilisation dropped for one of our big accounts a while back and I know the reason, because the branch told me. It's not in any measure.
- Hannah Lowe NoneGood. I'll phrase it neutrally: why did rental activity for this account fall, based on what branches and the contractor wrote or said? I'll select the account you're thinking of from the CRM list. Tell me when I've got the right one.
- Carlos Medina NoneYeah, that's the one.
- Hannah Lowe NoneWhile it works, a word on this. It might say it can't tell. That would be the right answer if the evidence isn't there.
- Hannah Lowe NoneRight. It's come back with a reasonable explanation. It says the contractor paused work on a project, and it cites an email from a branch manager saying so, plus a note in a helpdesk ticket about returning two machines early. It says it found nothing that suggests dissatisfaction with service. It's flagged that last bit as an absence of evidence, not as proof.
- Carlos Medina NoneHuh. That's the reason. Project paused. That's what the branch told me. And it didn't make up a story about us.
- Carlos Medina NoneI'll admit that's the thing I couldn't get out of Signalvane. It showed me the drop. It couldn't tell me why.
- Jordan Pike NoneThat's the pattern we see, Carlos. The dashboard tells you what moved. The brain tells you what people said about it. They sit side by side.
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneOkay. This is the win I can show the leadership team. One contractor, one view, branch and credit agreeing. Hannah, can you pull up that exact scenario again, the Macon one, but as national accounts would see it?
- Hannah Lowe NoneYes. This is where the pages come in. For each national contractor the brain keeps an account page, and it's generated from the same sources, so it has the same citations. Let me open one.
- Hannah Lowe NoneSo, at the top, a summary of the relationship. Then recent calls, recent threads, open tickets, grouped by branch. If a branch changes something, the page changes the next night. Nobody maintains it by hand.
- Tammy Ledbetter NoneCan my branch managers see only their own branches? I don't want one manager reading another region's credit notes.
- Hannah Lowe NoneGood question, and I want to be careful with the answer. The brain respects the permissions of the source systems it reads, and on Enterprise you'd add single sign-on and group controls. How your regions should be cut up is something I'd design with Carlos. I won't promise a shape before I've seen how your groups are set up today.
- Carlos Medina NoneThat's an honest answer. I'd want to see it before we say yes. Our groups are messy.
- Hannah Lowe NoneEveryone's are. We start by listing them. It's usually a morning of work, not a month.
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneJordan, where does this land commercially? Laura's going to ask. I can't commit budget without her, so I need the number clean.
- Jordan Pike NoneSure. Here's where we are. We're scoping Enterprise for you. The deal as it stands is one hundred fifty-five thousand pounds, all-in, with the implementation fee included. I'm being careful there, because that's the total for the deal, not a per-year figure. I'll break out the subscription and the implementation separately in writing so Laura can see each piece.
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneOkay. And the timeline you mentioned?
- Jordan Pike NoneWe're working toward 4 Dec 2026 as the target to sign. To be transparent, that depends on your security review finishing, and that depends on Carlos's team. What would make this a yes for you, Carlos?
- Carlos Medina NoneHonestly? Three things. One, my security team is happy with where the data sits and who can see what. Two, I can see it work on more of our data than a slice. And three, someone explains clearly how this lives next to Signalvane so nobody thinks we're ripping it out. Because they'll think that.
- Jordan Pike NoneThat's a clear list, thanks. Nobody's ripping anything out. I'd want to say that to your leadership directly.
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneI'll say it for you. Signalvane stays. Carlos is right, it's a different job.
- Hannah Lowe NoneCan I do one more demo before we close, since we've got some room? I'd like to show the failure case, because I think it's the one that builds trust. Carlos, give me something it might not know.
- Carlos Medina NoneFine. Ask it what the contractor's credit limit is.
- Hannah Lowe NoneTyping it now.
- Hannah Lowe NoneThere. It says it can't find a credit limit in any source it's been given. It points to one call where someone mentions a limit being under review, but there's no number, and it says so. It doesn't guess. It also suggests that the credit system might be the source to connect.
- Carlos Medina NoneOkay. That's the answer I wanted. I'd have been more worried if it had given me a number.
- Tammy Ledbetter NoneSame. My team has been burned by tools that sound confident and are wrong.
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneOkay. I think we've got what we need for today, and I've got a thing at the top of the hour. Jordan, what's the next step?
- Jordan Pike NoneThree things, and I'll send them tonight. One, Hannah writes up the security and data location answers for Carlos's team. Two, I send Laura the commercial breakdown, subscription and implementation separately. Three, we book a working session with Carlos to plan a larger slice of your data, including the credit source.
- Hannah Lowe NoneAnd I'll include a short note on how this sits alongside Signalvane, in plain language, so Carlos can pass it to leadership without editing.
- Carlos Medina NoneThat would help a lot. Thanks, Hannah.
- Tammy Ledbetter NoneAnd can I have the branch-manager version? Just a page, what they'd see and how they'd ask.
- Hannah Lowe NoneYes, I'll put that in writing too.
- Jordan Pike NoneThanks, everyone. I'll get the follow-up out tonight. Good to see you all.
- DeShawn Mitchell NoneThanks, all. Let's keep this moving.
