What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026On the 28 Apr 2026 discovery call, Annabel Rigby and Hugh Brereton described client data spread across several systems and manual compliance checking. Sophie Ling suggested Starter at £28k all-in for year one, and a demo was agreed for a couple of weeks later.
What happened: Sophie Ling opened with questions before pitching. Annabel Rigby and Hugh Brereton described pulling client holdings together from the CRM, the portfolio system, bank statements and spreadsheets.
Customer view: Hugh said the problem slows client service and makes compliance reporting harder. He knew of no better competitor and named paying a consultancy as the closest alternative.
Commercial: Sophie positioned Starter at £28k all-in for the first year, with a four-week implementation. Hugh raised security for client finances, and Sophie tied the review to sign-off by Patricia, the compliance manager.
Watch: Annabel asked how to move forward. A demo was left for about two weeks later, and the evidence does not show it was held.

Transcript
- Sophie LingHi Annabel, Hugh. Thanks for making time. I know you're both busy, so I'll keep this focused. I'm Sophie, I work with wealth and financial services clients. Before I talk about what we do, I'd love to understand your world a bit better. Annabel, you're the lead on operations, what's your biggest headache day-to-day?
- Annabel RigbyWell, we manage client portfolios across multiple accounts. Our clients want to see a complete picture of what they own, but that data lives in different places: our CRM, the portfolio system, bank statements, sometimes spreadsheets. We spend a lot of time pulling it all together.
- Sophie LingSo when a client rings and asks 'what do I own?', you're logging into multiple systems?
- Annabel RigbyExactly. Or sometimes we build a custom spreadsheet. If there's an error, we have to trace it back across systems. It's labour-intensive and slow.
- Hugh BreretonFrom my side, it's affecting how quickly we can serve clients and it makes compliance reporting harder than it needs to be. Patricia, our compliance manager, she has to do a lot of manual checking because the data isn't unified.
- Sophie LingOkay. Hugh, when you think about the space, are there competitors doing something better?
- Hugh BreretonNot that I'm aware of. Everyone wrestles with the same problem. The closest thing is paying a consultancy to build custom dashboards, but that's expensive and ages quickly.
- Sophie LingRight. So let me tell you what we do. We build the brain: it's an AI-queryable layer that sits on top of your CRM, your portfolio system, your bank data, whatever you've got. Your team stops jumping between systems and asks the brain instead.
- Annabel RigbyAnd that works with our existing systems? We're not ripping out what we have?
- Sophie LingNo rip-and-replace. The brain reads data from your systems, it doesn't touch them. We build it inside your Snowflake account, so you control everything.
- Hugh BreretonWhat about security? These are client finances we're talking about.
- Sophie LingSecurity is core. The data lives in your Snowflake, we don't store client data anywhere. We go through a full security review with every customer to make sure we meet your requirements.
- Annabel RigbyHow often does the data refresh?
- Sophie LingNightly. We pull fresh data every night and have everything processed by 07:00. Your team's always looking at yesterday's close.
- Hugh BreretonAnd in terms of cost, what does something like this typically run?
- Sophie LingWe have a few tiers. For someone like you, your team size, the systems you're connecting, I'd look at Starter. That's £28,000 all-in for the first year, which includes implementation and subscription.
- Annabel RigbyAnd the implementation, how long does that take?
- Sophie LingFour weeks. We connect your systems, run some training, and you're live. We also do a security review as part of it, so Patricia can sign off.
- Hugh BreretonFour weeks is good. And then what?
- Sophie LingYou go live and you have a customer success manager. They check in every six months to make sure you're getting value. If you need help, you've got us.
- Annabel RigbyThis sounds like something worth exploring. How would we move forward?
- Sophie LingI'd love to do a demo next. I'd want to see your data, or at least understand what your main systems look like, and then show you the brain working on something like your data. That usually takes an hour. Then if you're interested, we can talk formally about timeline and terms.
- Hugh BreretonWhen could you do that?
- Sophie LingI'm flexible. What works for you both?
- Annabel RigbyHow about in a couple of weeks? That gives us time to chat internally.
- Sophie LingPerfect. I'll send you a couple of dates and you can pick what suits. In the meantime, if you've got questions, just reach out.
- Hugh BreretonSounds good.
- Sophie LingCheers both. Speak soon.
