What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Fran Whiting saw the brain on her own Salesforce donor data and said she would like to move forward. Sign-off now needs Robin, the finance director, and probably a couple of trustees. A proposal was promised that day.
What happened: Sophie Ling and Hannah Lowe ran the demo on 7 Apr 2026 using Fran Whiting's own Salesforce donor records. They covered the Snowflake architecture, search, dashboards, a four-week implementation and Starter support.
Customer view: Fran called it really strong and said she would like to move forward. She asked whether BB-Demo had built for charities before and got a general answer, not a charity example.
Commercial: Hannah committed to four weeks from signature, conditional on the customer being responsive. Sophie said extra users beyond the included fifteen are a straightforward add-on.
Watch: Robin, the finance director, and trustees decide, and none were on the call. Hannah owes written dashboard types and timelines.

- Dashboards and extra users are natural follow-on items after go-live.
Transcript
- Sophie Ling NoneRight, thanks for having us. Fran, this is Hannah from our solutions team. She'll walk through the technical side.
- Hannah Lowe NoneHi Fran. To be precise, I'll show you the architecture, how the connectors work, and then Sophie will walk through what the actual search and dashboards look like.
- Fran Whiting NonePerfect. And you said you'd be using our real Salesforce data?
- Sophie Ling NoneYeah, I loaded your Salesforce donor records last week. So everything you see is your actual data.
- Hannah Lowe NoneSo the short answer is: the brain is a layer that sits inside your Snowflake account. The longer answer is that we configure connectors to your Salesforce, your calls, your emails, your shop system. Those connectors run on a schedule and pull data into Snowflake. Then the brain queries across all of it.
- Fran Whiting NoneSo Snowflake is hosting it?
- Hannah Lowe NoneYeah. You own the Snowflake account, we build and run the brain inside it. Your data never leaves your environment.
- Fran Whiting NoneHow often does it refresh?
- Hannah Lowe NoneNightly on business days. So Salesforce data, calls, emails all sync overnight and you're seeing it fresh by morning.
- Sophie Ling NoneLet me show you what that looks like in practice. So here's the search interface. You type a question or a supporter name and you get results across Salesforce, calls, emails. So watch, I'm searching for a specific donor.
- Fran Whiting NoneOh, so that's pulling up their donor record and their emails and...?
- Sophie Ling NoneRight. Their donor profile, any calls they've had with you, emails back and forth. And if they came to one of your shops, that's there too.
- Hannah Lowe NoneThe power is that your team doesn't need to know where the data lives. They just ask, and the brain finds it.
- Fran Whiting NoneSo my fundraisers could do this?
- Sophie Ling NoneExactly. Up to fifteen users on Starter, so you'd give login access to your fundraising team, your team, whoever needs visibility into supporter history.
- Hannah Lowe NoneYou can also build dashboards. So if you wanted a dashboard of all donors above a certain giving level, or all your regular shop visitors, I'd put that together for you.
- Fran Whiting NoneHow long does that take?
- Sophie Ling NoneDepends on complexity. Simple ones, a few days. More involved, maybe a week or two.
- Hannah Lowe NoneI'll put that in writing, the different types of dashboards and typical timelines.
- Fran Whiting NoneAnd if we need to add more users later?
- Sophie Ling NoneYou'd just add them. Fifteen is included, so if you need more beyond that it's a straightforward add-on.
- Hannah Lowe NoneSo let me walk through implementation. Once you sign, we'd have a kickoff call to understand your Salesforce structure, your call system, your shop data.
- Hannah Lowe NoneWe'd build the connectors, which takes a couple of weeks. Then we test everything, make sure the data is clean, and train your team.
- Fran Whiting NoneSo four weeks total?
- Sophie Ling NoneThat's the standard for Starter, yeah. From signature to live in four weeks.
- Fran Whiting NoneCan you guarantee that?
- Hannah Lowe NoneWe commit to it, yes. So long as you're responsive on questions and access.
- Sophie Ling NoneOnce you're live, you get a check-in with us every six months. You can ask questions, we can talk about additional dashboards, additional users, whatever you need.
- Fran Whiting NoneWhat if something breaks or doesn't work?
- Hannah Lowe NoneYou'd reach out to us. Starter includes support during business hours, response within four business hours. If it's urgent we can escalate.
- Fran Whiting NoneI think this is really strong. Let me ask: is this something you've built for charities before, or are we kind of a new use case?
- Sophie Ling NoneWe work across different industries. Charities are actually a great fit because you've got multiple teams doing similar work and you need that unified view. So not unique but definitely something we know how to support well.
- Fran Whiting NoneOkay. I think I'd like to move forward. I need to get sign-off from Robin, our finance director, and probably a couple of trustees.
- Sophie Ling NoneTotally. I'll send a formal proposal with the pricing, the scope, the timeline. You can share that with Robin and anyone else who needs to see it.
- Hannah Lowe NoneAnd if there are any technical questions once you read it, you can email me and I'll answer them.
- Fran Whiting NoneGreat. What's the timeline for next steps?
- Sophie Ling NoneI'll send the proposal by end of this week. You review, get feedback, and hopefully we're signing in early May. That gets you live in late May.
- Fran Whiting NonePerfect. Thanks so much. This is exciting.
- Sophie Ling NoneWe're excited too. I'll get that proposal over today, and we'll speak next week.
- Hannah Lowe NoneThanks, Fran. Speak soon.
