On the 17 Aug 2026 discovery call, Fothergill Brice described manual, scattered research for its business development team. Lewis Kerr quoted £62k for the first year and proposed a demo the following month.

What happened: Lewis Kerr ran the 17 Aug 2026 discovery call with Lydia Ashurst and Jonathan Brice. They described a team of about six doing manual research across Salesforce, a call recorder, Microsoft 365 and accounting data.

Customer view: Lydia said a pitch or prospect check usually takes a few hours and is inefficient. Jonathan said the partners would want access too, so ten to twelve people in all.

Commercial: Lewis positioned Growth with an eight-week implementation and quoted £62k for the first year, covering implementation and the annual subscription. This was a verbal figure on a call, not an order form.

Watch: The evidence does not show whether the demo was booked or held.

Morning, everyone. Thanks for making time. I'm Lewis, Account Executive at BG-Demo. Before we dive in, how's your week been going?
  2. Lydia Ashurst
    Lydia Ashurst
Good, thanks. Busy as always but good.
  3. Jonathan Brice
    Jonathan Brice
    Yes, likewise.
  4. Lewis Kerr
    Lewis Kerr
Great. So Lydia, you reached out to us about the business development side of things. Tell me a bit about the team and what you're working towards.
  5. Lydia Ashurst
    Lydia Ashurst
Sure. We've got a team of about six people focused on new client development. Right now we're doing a lot of manual research: looking at past cases, client interactions, reputation. It's quite scattered across different systems. We thought there might be a way to bring that together and make it faster.
  6. Lewis Kerr
    Lewis Kerr
That makes sense. What systems are you using at the moment? CRM, anything like that?
  7. Lydia Ashurst
    Lydia Ashurst
We use Salesforce for client management. We've also got a call recorder, we record client calls. And obviously email, which is Microsoft 365. We've got some financial data in the accounting system as well.
  8. Lewis Kerr
    Lewis Kerr
Right. So you've got good data spread across multiple places. At the moment, when someone on your team needs to put together a pitch or understand a prospect, how long does that take and where does that information come from?
  9. Lydia Ashurst
    Lydia Ashurst
Usually a few hours. Someone would need to log into Salesforce, pull up past cases, listen to or read through call notes. Sometimes they'd have to ask around the office for information. It's inefficient.
  10. Lewis Kerr
    Lewis Kerr
And the team size: is it just the six of you, or is there a wider group that would benefit from having that information?
  11. Jonathan Brice
    Jonathan Brice
Potentially the partners would want access to some of that data. So maybe ten to twelve people all told.
  12. Lewis Kerr
    Lewis Kerr
Got it. So what we do is build a query layer on top of all your systems. Your Salesforce, your call data, Microsoft 365, accounting, you can ask questions in natural language and get answers that pull from everywhere. So instead of logging in to three systems, someone on your team could ask 'show me all cases from manufacturing firms that went to court in the past year' and it pulls the answer for them.
  13. Lydia Ashurst
    Lydia Ashurst
That sounds really useful. How long does it take to set something like that up?
  14. Lewis Kerr
    Lewis Kerr
Implementation is typically eight weeks for the tier you're looking at, which is our Growth offering. We'd spend time mapping your data, making sure all the connectors are working cleanly, then rolling out to your team. And there's training as well so people know how to ask the right questions.
  15. Lydia Ashurst
    Lydia Ashurst
Feasible. And cost-wise, what are we talking about?
  16. Lewis Kerr
    Lewis Kerr
To put a number on it, it's £62,000 for your first year all-in. That covers the eight-week implementation and your annual subscription.
  17. Jonathan Brice
    Jonathan Brice
That's helpful context. What would the next step be?
  18. Lewis Kerr
    Lewis Kerr
I'd like to set up a demo where we can show you the brain working on similar data to yours, we'd use a sample client file from a law firm client of ours. Then we can talk about fit and timelines. Does sometime next month work?
  19. Lydia Ashurst
    Lydia Ashurst
Yeah, next month works. I'll check the calendar and come back to you.
  20. Lewis Kerr
    Lewis Kerr
Perfect. I'll send a couple of dates over and you can let me know what suits. Thanks both.
