What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Laura Penhaligon trained Brooke Dawson on search, chat, saved queries and pages. Brooke was keen, said she would get people using it that day, and accepted that dashboards need an upgrade.
What happened: Laura walked Brooke through search, chat, saved queries and Pages, and confirmed the connectors pull nightly, including the warehouse system now that the mapping was fixed.
Customer view: Brooke said the training was brilliant and that she would get people using the brain today.
Commercial: Brooke asked about dashboards and was told the Starter tier does not include the dashboard builder. She said they can always upgrade later if they need dashboards.
Watch: Brooke is again the only customer attendee, so adoption across the fifteen users depends on her. Laura noted a first response of four hours on a critical issue, and Hollie will check in within a couple of weeks.

Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Brooke Dawson to start with one regular query and get her team using search.
- Hollie, the customer success manager, to check in with Brooke in a couple of weeks.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Adoption beyond Brooke is unproven, since she was the only customer attendee.
- An earlier mapping problem on the warehouse connector shows the source needed fixing before go-live.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Growth tier upgrade if the team wants the dashboard builder, as Brooke signalled.
- Extra users or connectors later if adoption spreads beyond the first team.
Transcript
- Laura PenhaligonRight, Brooke. Welcome. So this is your training on the brain. Today we'll walk through everything you'll be using day-to-day: search, the chat interface, saved queries, pages. Okay?
- Brooke DawsonPerfect. I've been keen to get my hands on this for a while.
- Laura PenhaligonGood. So let me start with the basics. The brain pulls data from your Salesforce: so customer accounts, opportunities, notes: and from your accounting system, so invoices, payment history, that sort of thing. The connectors are pulling nightly.
- Brooke DawsonRight. And the logistics data?
- Laura PenhaligonAlso pulling nightly from your warehouse system now that we fixed the mapping. So you've got customer info, financial history, and delivery tickets all in one place.
- Brooke DawsonExcellent. So I can ask something like, show me all my customer accounts in Queensland with outstanding invoices?
- Laura PenhaligonExactly. You'd use the search box to ask that query. Let me show you the interface.
- Laura PenhaligonSo here's the main dashboard. Search box at the top. You type in natural language...'Queensland customers with outstanding invoices': and the brain parses that, pulls the data, and shows you the results.
- Brooke DawsonSo I don't need to know SQL or anything like that?
- Laura PenhaligonNope. It understands natural language. You just ask in English.
- Brooke DawsonThat's brilliant. What about if I want to refine the results?
- Laura PenhaligonYou can filter by date, by region, by customer type, all the standard filters. Let me show you. Click here, this is the filter panel.
- Brooke DawsonOkay. And I can save a query if I'm going to run it regularly?
- Laura PenhaligonYes. Once you've built a query you like, you click Save, and it becomes a saved query. You can rerun it whenever you want with one click. All your team will have access to it if you want to share.
- Brooke DawsonPerfect. That's exactly what we need.
- Laura PenhaligonRight. So on top of search, we also have the chat interface. That's where you can have a conversation with the brain about your data.
- Brooke DawsonWhat's the difference?
- Laura PenhaligonSearch is for quick lookups. Chat is more for exploratory questions where you might need to follow up or ask for context. Let me show you. I could ask the brain, 'What are the top five customers by invoice value in the last quarter?' and it would answer that. Then I could ask a follow-up...'Did any of them miss a payment?', and it would have the context from the previous answer.
- Brooke DawsonRight, so it's like a conversation?
- Laura PenhaligonExactly. More of a dialogue than a single query.
- Brooke DawsonThat's useful. What about if I want to build a dashboard or a report?
- Laura PenhaligonGood question. For your Starter tier, you don't have the dashboard builder. But you can save queries and export results to CSV or send them to a colleague.
- Brooke DawsonOkay, that's fine for now. We can always upgrade later if we need dashboards.
- Laura PenhaligonExactly. Right, let me show you Pages. Pages are like saved views. We've set up a couple for you, an Outstanding Invoices page, a Delivery Status page. You can modify these or create your own.
- Brooke DawsonHow do I create a new page?
- Laura PenhaligonYou click the Plus button, give it a name, and then you can add widgets to it: so a list of customers, a status chart, whatever makes sense for that page. It's pretty intuitive.
- Brooke DawsonNice. And my team can see all this?
- Laura PenhaligonYeah. Everyone on your Starter tier: all fifteen users: has access to the same search, chat, and pages. You'll have admin controls to manage permissions if you want to restrict who sees what.
- Brooke DawsonOkay. What about support if something goes wrong?
- Laura PenhaligonYou can email Hollie, my colleague, she's your customer success manager, or reach out to support directly. First response on a critical issue is four hours.
- Brooke DawsonAnd if data isn't updating? How would I know?
- Laura PenhaligonGood question. The connectors should refresh nightly by 07:00. If something hasn't updated for more than a day, that's worth raising. But you'd probably notice if your queries are returning stale data, like if customer names aren't matching recent changes in Salesforce.
- Brooke DawsonRight. So what's the next step?
- Laura PenhaligonYou now have access to the brain. I'd recommend picking a simple query you run regularly: like, say, 'all outstanding invoices for the Sydney region', and start there. Get your team comfortable with the search interface.
- Brooke DawsonSounds good. I'll get people using it today.
- Laura PenhaligonExcellent. Hollie will reach out in a couple of weeks to see how you're getting on. If you run into anything, just ping me an email or Hollie.
- Brooke DawsonThanks, Laura. This is brilliant.
- Laura PenhaligonCheers, Brooke. Good luck with it.
