What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Stuart Kenyon heard the renewal at £51,000 against £46,600 contracted, and accepted it provisionally. He wants a one-page note and a usage view, routed through his operations lead first.
What happened: Daniel Okafor and Tom Ashdown briefed Stuart Kenyon on 8 Sep 2025. The term runs to 30 Nov 2025 with renewal on 1 Dec 2025, at sixty licensed users and a quiet ticket queue.
Commercial: Tom set the contracted figure of £46,600, which matches what was invoiced, against a renewal deal of £51,000. He attributed part of the rise to list pricing moving since signing and promised a line-by-line note.
Customer view: Stuart noted the increase without objecting, but needs proof of use. He asked for the usage view to go to his operations lead first and for a colleague to check the paperwork.
Watch: Close date is pencilled for Mon 10 Nov 2025. Stuart is not yet convinced of value, and the evidence does not show the breakdown of the rise.

Follow-up
Next steps
Current to 9 Oct 26- Daniel Okafor to send the usage view via the customer operations lead by the end of the following week.
- Tom Ashdown to send a one-page pricing note with the line-by-line breakdown, copying the colleague who checks paperwork.
- Tom Ashdown to hold the close date of Mon 10 Nov 2025 ahead of term end on 30 Nov 2025.
Risks
Current to 9 Oct 26- The renewal price rises from £46,600 to £51,000 and Stuart wants to see it justified by actual use.
- Sales engineers use the brain little, so value evidence rests mainly on one team.
Opportunities
Current to 9 Oct 26- A usage view built on the customer's own activity can make the value case before the close date.
- More sales engineer adoption would broaden use across the sixty licensed users.
Transcript
- Daniel Okafor NoneHello, Stuart. Thank you very much for your time today. I can see Tom has joined as well, so that's the three of us. Is anyone else from your side coming along?
- Stuart Kenyon NoneJust me. Ruth's with a customer. She said to tell you she's happy for me to hear it first. What do you need from me?
- Tom Ashdown NoneMorning, Stuart. Not much, really. How's your week been so far? Capacity still tight?
- Stuart Kenyon NoneAlways tight. We're turning work round, which is the good problem. Go on.
- Daniel Okafor NoneThank you. So, just to set the scene. Your current term runs to 30 Nov 2025, and the renewal date is 1 Dec 2025. It's a way off yet, but I like us to talk early, so nobody's rushing at the end. I thought we'd go through how the year has gone, and then Tom will talk about what the renewal looks like.
- Stuart Kenyon NoneFine. Keep it short.
- Daniel Okafor NoneI will. So, you started last December on Growth. You're now at sixty licensed users, after the expansion in the summer, and the people using it have grown steadily. A slow, steady climb, if I'm honest, not a spike. The regular group is asking it questions most days, mainly about orders and quality tickets and the calls your sales engineers have with customers.
- Stuart Kenyon NoneWho's using it the most?
- Daniel Okafor NoneRuth's team, mostly, which is what you'd expect. Quality and customer operations. A few of the sales engineers dip in. I'd love to see more of them, and I'll come back to you on how we might help with that.
- Stuart Kenyon NoneWhat does it save us? That's what I'll get asked.
- Daniel Okafor NoneI'd rather Ruth gave you the specifics, because she sees it daily. What I can see is that nobody's raised a ticket in a good while, which tells me it's running quietly. The data is refreshed overnight, as it should be, and nothing has broken that we've been asked about.
- Stuart Kenyon NoneQuiet's good. Quiet means it's working.
- Tom Ashdown NoneThat's my reading too. So, the renewal. Right now the contracted figure is £46,600, and that's what's been invoiced, so those two agree. For the renewal, the deal as I've got it in front of me comes to £51,000.
- Stuart Kenyon NoneThat's up.
- Tom Ashdown NoneIt is, yes. I'll be straight about it. Part of that is how our list pricing has moved since you signed, and I'll confirm precisely how it breaks down, because I don't want to quote you the detail from memory. I'll put it in a note so you can see it line by line.
- Stuart Kenyon NoneRight. I won't read a long document. One page.
- Tom Ashdown NoneOne page. Same format as the expansion one. Ruth liked that.
- Daniel Okafor NoneIf I may, Stuart, just to close the loop on something. When you say it's up, is it the principle that concerns you, or the amount?
- Stuart Kenyon NoneNeither yet. I'm just noting it. If it's paid off, it's paid off. I don't pay for things I can't see used, that's all.
- Daniel Okafor NoneThat's completely fair. Then what I'd suggest is that before we meet again, I put together a short view of what has actually been used, so you're looking at your own activity and not my opinion. Would that help?
- Stuart Kenyon NoneThat would help. Give it to Ruth first. Ruth will tell me if it's working.
- Daniel Okafor NoneOf course. Ruth first, then you.
- Tom Ashdown NoneCan I ask about timing? I've got a close date pencilled for Monday 10 November 2025. Does that feel sensible, or should I be looking at something different?
- Stuart Kenyon NoneSensible. It's before the end of the term, so there's slack. I'd want Karen to see it, she'll want to check the paperwork.
- Tom Ashdown NoneKaren's the right person. I'll copy her on the note.
- Stuart Kenyon NoneAnything else I should know? Is anyone leaving? Is anything going to break?
- Daniel Okafor NoneNot that I'm aware of. Everyone I've worked with is still here, which I'm glad about, and the connections you set up are all still loading. If that changed, I'd be on the phone to you before you noticed.
- Stuart Kenyon NoneGood. Then I think we're done. Send me the page and the usage view when you've got them.
- Daniel Okafor NoneI'll come back to you by the end of next week with the usage view, via Ruth. Tom, the pricing note?
- Tom Ashdown NoneSame timing. Leave that with me. Cheers, Stuart.
- Daniel Okafor NoneThank you again for your time, Stuart. Best wishes to you and the team.
