Hi Mark, Emma, thanks for joining. Today we're going to walk through the dashboards you can build, how to run queries, and how to manage users. Before we start, how are you finding the brain so far? Have you had a chance to play with it?
  2. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger None
Yeah, we've had a quick look. Pretty impressive that it's all stitched together. I'm still getting my head around the architecture, but it's living in our Snowflake like you said, so that's good.
  3. Mark Ellwood
    Mark Ellwood None
I've tried a few searches. One thing though, how often does it refresh? Is the data current?
  4. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
Great question. Every night we refresh: so by seven in the morning your time, the brain has the latest data from Salesforce, your call recorder and your billing system. You're never looking at anything older than a day.
  5. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger None
Okay, that makes sense. So what can we actually build?
  6. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
Let me share my screen. You see this Pages tab? That's where you build dashboards. It's drag and drop, no code. You can add a widget for client matters, one for recent calls with a particular client, billing summary, whatever makes sense for your team.
  7. Mark Ellwood
    Mark Ellwood None
And people don't need coding knowledge to do this?
  8. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
That maps cleanly. You just drag a widget into a page, point it at a query, I'll show you how, and it updates every night with the fresh data.
  9. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger None
How many people on our side can do this?
  10. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
All forty of your licensed users can create pages. But Emma, as the admin, you'll probably want to set up a few standard ones that everyone uses, then let folks customise from there.
  11. Mark Ellwood
    Mark Ellwood None
Right. And if someone leaves the firm, how do we manage that?
  12. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
Emma deactivates them in the admin panel. They lose access straight away. You've got forty user seats on Growth, so you can add folks as you need them.
  13. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger None
What if we need more than forty?
  14. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
Then you'd add more user packs. Let me show you the admin console, that's where you manage all this stuff. Users, permissions, refresh schedules.
  15. Mark Ellwood
    Mark Ellwood None
So I can: sorry, can I just ask, how long does it take to get competent at this?
  16. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
Most people pick up queries and page-building in a day or two. The smartest stuff, bringing in custom data sources, that's a bit more involved. But honestly, for what you're trying to solve, the basics are enough.
  17. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger None
Okay. What about if something breaks? What's our process?
  18. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
You've got quarterly check-ins with your CSM. If something urgent comes up, Growth tier gets a response within an hour. Nine times out of ten it's a connector issue, something in Salesforce or Xero changed on their side. We'd work with you to fix it.
  19. Mark Ellwood
    Mark Ellwood None
And if we want to add a new connector later, can we do that?
  20. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
Yeah. You've got eight connectors included in Growth. If you want more, we'd add them. Let me just walk you through some example dashboards real quick and then we can do any questions you've got.
  21. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
So this is what we'd typically build: client matters by partner, open items by status, billing by client. Each one updates every night. A partner can look at this and immediately know where they stand with a client.
  22. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger None
Yeah, that's exactly what they need.
  23. Mark Ellwood
    Mark Ellwood None
How easy is it to share dashboards? Do people see what they're allowed to see, or does everyone see everything?
  24. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
Good question. You set permissions at the page level. So you could have a page only partners see, one only the BD team see. Each person sees their own universe.
  25. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger None
That's important for us. Cheers. Are there any gotchas we should know about?
  26. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
Before we switch on the refresh, make sure all your connectors are working. I'll send you a checklist. And if your Salesforce admins change something in your system, add a new field, change a mapping, just give us a heads-up so we can update our side.
  27. Mark Ellwood
    Mark Ellwood None
Right, will do. So when did we go live?
  28. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
You're live now, go-live was Tuesday 1 April 2025. You've been running for a couple of weeks. How's it feeling?
  29. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger None
No drama. It's all just working.
  30. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
Brilliant. So from here, you're in for the year. We'll do a check-in at three months, that's just a touchpoint. Then a full QBR. But in the meantime, if you hit anything, just reach out. I'll send you the admin setup doc and a list of common queries to get folks started. Any final questions?
  31. Mark Ellwood
    Mark Ellwood None
No, that's been really helpful. Thanks, Laura.
  32. Emma Jagger
    Emma Jagger None
    Cheers.
  33. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon None
    Great. Thanks both. Speak soon.
