What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Salesforce connector refresh hung partway through because of API rate limit exceeded. BB-Demo identified the constraint and customer contacted Salesforce to increase the limit.
Problem: Refresh started but stopped updating existing records; only new records were pulled. Femi suspected API rate limits.
Handling: Olivia confirmed Salesforce API rate limit was the bottleneck. Offered two options: increase Salesforce rate limit or reduce BB-Demo batch size. Customer chose to increase rate limit.
Impact: Third-party constraint diagnosed and resolved. Customer coordination required; no BB-Demo platform issue.

- created · Femi Olatunji 21 Jan 2026 08:42The Salesforce connector refresh has been hanging for the past three days. It's pulling in new records but it's not updating existing ones. The scheduled refresh started at the right time but it seems to have stalled partway through. Can you check the logs?
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 21 Jan 2026 11:32Hi Femi, thanks for reporting. Just so I've got this right: the refresh is starting and pulling new records but the existing records aren't being updated, is that correct? Can you check your Salesforce API rate limits on your end? Sometimes if we hit the rate limit we'll skip updates to existing records and move on to new ones instead.
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 22 Jan 2026 13:45I've checked your refresh logs and the Salesforce connector is hitting the API rate limit partway through the sync. That's the root cause. You'll need to either increase your API rate limit quota with Salesforce or we can adjust our batch size to stay under the limit. Which would work better for you?
- public_reply · Femi Olatunji 22 Jan 2026 15:43Got it. We'll contact Salesforce to increase the rate limit. Once that's done, how long should a full refresh take?
- internal_note · Olivia Grant 26 Jan 2026 10:54Waiting on customer to increase rate limit. Once that's in place we can validate the full refresh.
- public_reply · Femi Olatunji 26 Jan 2026 11:58We've bumped the rate limit with Salesforce. Can you run a test refresh to see if it works now?
