- created · Linnea Holm 23 Sep 2026 08:32I'm setting up user access for different teams in our organisation and I want to make sure I'm configuring permissions correctly. We have separate teams for e-commerce, customer service, and insight, and I'd like each team to only see their relevant data. Is there a best practice way to do this in the system?

The simplest is using dashboard-level permissions, where you control who sees which dashboards. For more granular access by data type, you'd need to set that up at the saved query level. Which approach fits your team structure better?
- public_reply · Linnea Holm 24 Sep 2026 09:15Actually, thinking about it more, we'd like both. Some dashboards are team-specific, but within those dashboards we also want to limit access to certain data fields by team. Is that supported?
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 24 Sep 2026 11:44Yes, that's fully supported. You can layer both dashboard permissions and field-level access. I'll send you a doc with the step-by-step setup and you can take it from there. Let me know if any of it is unclear and we can walk through it together.
