Current to 11 Oct 26Lee Garside reported the main daily-use dashboard was loading slowly, taking several seconds instead of the original speed. Olivia Grant diagnosed it as multiple connectors and heavy filtering on growing data. Lee resolved it by tightening filters to show only recent months.
Problem: Dashboard query performance degraded over time as data volume grew, affecting daily user experience. Handling: Olivia correctly diagnosed the issue as scope (multiple connectors, extensive filtering) and guided Lee to optimise by narrowing filters. Lee adapted well and quickly resolved it. Watch: This is a classic scaling challenge. Performance pressure may return as business data continues growing.

- created · Lee Garside 6 May 2025 11:43Hi, we've been using the brain quite a bit and I'm noticing that our main dashboard - the one that pulls order data for the trusts we work with - is taking a while to load. Sometimes it takes several seconds, more than it did when we first set it up. Is there something we can do to speed it up? It's used by a few of the team daily.
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 6 May 2025 12:47Hi Lee, thanks for letting us know. A few seconds is still within normal range, but let's see if we can improve it. Can you tell me roughly how many records your dashboard is querying? Is it pulling from multiple connectors or just one main source? Thanks, Olivia
- public_reply · Lee Garside 7 May 2025 11:02It's querying multiple sources - our main order system, the delivery tracking system and a couple of custom fields from Salesforce. The dashboard does a lot of filtering but I'd say it's pulling quite a lot of records overall.
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 8 May 2025 15:32Thanks. That explains it. Multiple sources plus filtering will take longer. I'd recommend looking at your filters. If you can narrow down what the dashboard is querying before it runs, like filtering by date range or a specific team, that should speed things up significantly. Thanks, Olivia
- public_reply · Lee Garside 12 May 2025 16:02That's exactly what we needed. We tightened up the filters to only look at the last few months of orders, and the dashboard is now nice and quick again. Really pleased with how that worked out. Cheers.
