After housing system upgrade, ~15–20 repairs jobs per day missing from brain. Root cause: API schema change. Connector escalated to platform team for mapping update.

Problem: After the housing system upgrade, repairs jobs were not syncing to the brain. Around 15–20 jobs per day were missing entirely, and the customer needed accurate data for a board presentation scheduled the following week.

Handling: Olivia Grant responded within hours and identified the root cause from Paul's report: the housing system API had changed its response format, but the connector was still expecting the old schema and dropping unrecognised records. She escalated to the platform team for a connector mapping update.

Watch: This was the first of several data quality issues following the housing system upgrade. The pattern suggests a systemic mismatch between the updated system and the connector configuration.

I've noticed mismatches between the brain's repairs count and what's actually in the housing system. It looks like jobs completed on certain recent dates aren't syncing through. I've been watching the data since the housing system upgrade and the pattern is getting clearer. Some jobs are missing from the brain entirely whilst others are there but with wrong information. This is throwing off the daily count and our reporting. I'll send you the details. Paul

Thanks Paul. I can see the issue. Just so I've got this right: repairs jobs from certain dates are in the housing system but aren't showing up in the brain, or are showing incomplete? Are all the missing jobs from the same date or spread across a range? And roughly how many jobs per day are affected? I'll check the connector logs to see where the data is getting lost. Olivia

I've attached the report. Jobs completed on recent days aren't showing in the brain's count, but they're in the housing system. It's maybe fifteen or twenty jobs a day not syncing over. The dashboard is stuck showing incomplete data. We need this sorted, I've got a board presentation next week and I need clean numbers. Paul

Thanks Paul. I've looked at the report and I can see what you mean. The housing system has the data but it's not making it through to the brain. This looks like either a connector issue or a schema change after the upgrade. Let me pull the logs and trace where the data is dropping off. Olivia

Right, thanks for looking into it. How long do you think this will take to resolve? Like I said, I need reliable numbers for next week's board meeting. Can you give me a rough timeline? And let me know what you find. Paul

Found it. Post-upgrade the housing system API is returning repairs in a different format. Connector is expecting the old schema and dropping records it doesn't recognize. Need to update the connector data mapping to handle the new format. Escalating to platform team.
