What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26After the QBR, Rupert Lasker, Chief Financial Officer, said he needs to understand what is actually used before the renewal goes further. He asked Daniel to confirm £44k and whether the CRM and accounting system could do the job.
Ask: Daniel reported that active users have fallen by roughly half and asked what changed. Rupert asks for the annual cost, confirmation of £44k, and whether Delancey Haig could do this itself.
Customer view: the CFO is questioning value and raising a build alternative. He has copied Saskia and Holly for detail.
Next: the thread shows no reply to the cost question, and the evidence does not show the renewal outcome.

- Daniel Okafor 2 Jun 2026 15:05Dear all, Thank you for your time at the review. I wanted to close the loop in writing while it is fresh, and to be straightforward about what I saw in the numbers. The main point: the number of people actively using the brain has fallen by roughly half compared with the previous quarter. You are licensed for 40 users on Growth, and at the moment only a handful are logging in on a typical day. Nothing has been raised with us on the support side, and the nightly refresh has been running as expected, so I do not think this is a technical problem. My guess is that it is about habit and about who is being asked to use it, but I would rather hear that from you than assume. There are two things I would find useful: - Which client-account directors are still using it in their reviews, and which have drifted away? - Whether anything changed on your side this spring (a reorganisation, a new process, a system swap) that would explain the drop. The contract runs until 2 Jul 2026, so I would like us to have a clear view of the value before then, and not leave it to the last minute. I'll come back to you by the end of the week with a short list of the questions people were asking at their best, so we have something concrete to look at together. How is the team finding it at the moment? Honest answers are the most helpful. Best wishes, Daniel
- Rupert Lasker 3 Jun 2026 10:44Daniel, Thanks for the note, and for not dressing it up. I have to say it matches what I have been hearing internally. If usage has dropped by half, I need to understand what we are actually using before the renewal conversation goes any further. Saskia and Holly will know the detail better than I do, so I have copied them. Can you remind me of the annual cost, and confirm that it is £44,000 for the current arrangement? I would also like to know whether this is something we could do ourselves with what we already have in the CRM and the accounting system. Rupert
