What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Kwame Asante, Chief Technology Officer, is reviewing every data tool and asked for systems, data location and cost. After Daniel Okafor's reply he asked what would stay with the firm if it built its own, and for the commercial position before 2 Jul 2026.
Ask: Kwame wants connectors, data location, annual cost, then what stays with the firm and the commercial position before 2 Jul 2026. He frames it as a build-versus-buy question across the estate.
Customer view: he welcomed that the data sits in the firm's own Snowflake account. He says no decision has been made but his team can do a good deal of this.
Next: Daniel promised a connector list and diagram, and the thread does not show whether they were sent.

- Kwame Asante 26 Jan 2026 09:01Daniel, I am reviewing every data tool the firm pays for, and your platform is on the list. I would like to understand it properly before I form a view. Could you send me the following: - every system the brain connects to - where the data lives, and who has access to it - the annual cost, as it stands under our contract If there is an architecture diagram, that would be the quickest way for me and my team to see it. I am looking at this as a build-versus-buy question across the whole estate, so a plain picture of what we are paying for is the most useful thing. Thanks, Kwame
- Daniel Okafor 29 Jan 2026 13:09Hi Kwame, Thank you for writing, and for being so clear about what you need. I have copied Priya, who looks after the commercial side of your contract, so she can pick up anything I cannot answer. To take your three points in turn. Where the data lives: BB-Demo runs inside your own Snowflake account. The brain is built there, so the data stays in your environment and your own team controls access. We do not hold a separate copy on our side. Cost: you are on the Growth tier at £44,000 a year, with 40 licensed users. The contract runs to 2 Jul 2026. Systems: I would rather give you an exact list than a rough one. The connectors are configured on your account, and I am having our engineering team put together the current list alongside a simple diagram of how it fits into your Snowflake account. I will send both to you by the end of this week. If it helps, I am very happy to walk your team through it, including anyone who would run it in-house. Best wishes, Daniel
- Kwame Asante 2 Feb 2026 14:35Daniel, Thank you, that is helpful, and it is good to know the data sits in our own Snowflake account. That answers the main question I had about where it lives. I will take the connector list and the diagram when they arrive. In the meantime, two further points so my options paper is complete: - what from the brain, such as pages, dashboards and configuration, would stay with us if we ran something ourselves - what the commercial position is between now and 2 Jul 2026 To be clear, no decision has been made. My team can do a good deal of this, but I want the case set out in writing before anyone commits to anything either way. Kwame
