Daniel Okafor asked for a check-in because logins had dipped. Saskia Mendes admitted some directors went back to spreadsheets and found the pages too heavy, asked for something simpler, and agreed to Thursday.

Ask: Daniel wanted half an hour to understand why fewer people were logging in. Saskia replied candidly that directors had drifted back to spreadsheets and that the pages are too much before a client review.

Customer view: she still says the directors need the product and wants one view per client with only what they ask about.

Next: Daniel set the call for 10:00 on Thursday and promised a note on which pages are opened and which are not by Wednesday.

Hi Saskia, I hope the first weeks back have been kind to you and the team. Just to close the loop on something I have been meaning to raise: I would like to get a check-in into the diary with you over the next couple of weeks. Looking at the account, the number of people logging in has dipped since the autumn, and I would rather talk it through with you than guess at the reason. Nothing looks wrong from our side. There are no open tickets and nothing outstanding on invoices, so I suspect it is more about how the directors are working day to day. How is the team finding it? Could you spare half an hour, perhaps Tuesday or Thursday next week? Mornings are best for me, but I will fit around you. Best wishes, Daniel

Hi Daniel, Sorry for the slow reply, it has been a week. Honest answer: it is not as good as it should be. A few of the directors drifted back to their old spreadsheets over the quiet period, and a couple have told me the pages are too much to wade through before a client review. I am not going to pretend otherwise. The directors need this, so I do want to fix it rather than let it slide. Can we make it simpler? One view per client, the things they actually ask about, nothing more. Thursday morning works for me, before 11:00 if possible. Best, Saskia

Hi Saskia, Thank you for being so straight with me, it really helps. Thursday it is. I will send an invite for 10:00 so we are well clear of your cut-off. To make the half hour useful, it would help to know which directors have gone quiet and which client reviews they find hardest to prepare for. I will pull together a short note on which pages are being opened and which are not, so we are looking at the same picture. I will come back to you by Wednesday with that. You have forty licences, so there is plenty of room to bring people back in. We just need to make it easy for them. Best wishes, Daniel
