After discovery, Priya Raman proposed the Growth tier at £53,800 in total. CFO Rupert Lasker would not agree anything yet and asked for the implementation and annual subscription to be separated, and for evidence of use.

Ask: Rupert wants the one-off implementation split from the annual subscription, because the total does not show what Delancey Haig would pay each year. He also wants to know what the first few months would look like.

Customer view: He says margins are thin and every supplier must earn its place. He questions what the brain does that existing systems could not.

Next: Priya owes Rupert the cost split and an account of early expected results. The £53,800 proposal is an open item, not an agreed price.

Hi Saskia, hi Rupert, Thank you both for your time and your openness on the discovery call. Here is where we have got to, so that we are all working from the same page. What we heard: your client-account directors need to see each client's vacancies, placements, invoices and complaints together, rather than going between systems before every review. Saskia was clear that contractor-invoice disputes need to be caught early, and that the directors should be able to walk into a meeting knowing what the client has actually said. What we would propose: the Growth tier, so that several teams can use the brain on the same data. The total value of the proposal is £53,800. I'm happy to break that down so Rupert can see exactly what he is being asked to approve. Next steps: if we can get this over the line by Wednesday 19 June 2024, your teams would have the brain in place well ahead of the busy part of your year. Before then I'd suggest a short session on your own data so you can judge it for yourselves rather than take my word for it. Rupert, I know you will have questions on cost and what you get for it. Please send them to me directly and I'll answer them plainly. Best, Priya Priya Raman Account Executive, BB-Demo

Priya, Thank you for the summary. Saskia has briefed me and I've read what you sent. I'm not in a position to agree anything yet. Our margins are thin and every supplier has to earn its place. The total value in your email doesn't tell me what we would pay each year, so could you separate the one-off implementation from the annual subscription? I'd also like to understand what we are actually using once it is live, and which parts of this we could not do ourselves with the systems we already have. Saskia thinks the directors will use it. I'd like to see that before I sign. Can you send the split, and tell me what you would expect us to see in the first few months? Rupert
