What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26After the QBR, CFO Malcolm Ridgway asks for the base behind 'a little below' and the cost per active user against the £128k paid for 200 licensed users. Amara Obi promises a checkable view before the renewal notice.
Ask: Malcolm wants the number in writing with its base, and the cost per person who actually uses the brain set against the return he can show the board. He says he is not asking for a features list.
Customer view: This is a value challenge from the person who signs, not a complaint. Amara concedes the licence covers far more people than use it today.
Next: Amara and Lewis Kerr build a licence-versus-active-users view for Malcolm before the renewal notice goes out ahead of 27 Feb 2027.

- Amara Obi 7 May 2026 09:19Hi all, Thank you for your time on the QBR. A short summary so we all hold the same version. Where we are: the contract is Enterprise at £127,500 a year with 200 licensed users, running to 27 Feb 2027. Active users are a little below the prior quarter. One ticket in the last month, not high priority. Actions: - Amara: send the usage view by team and branch region. - Tariq: confirm in writing that every connector is loading each night, and tell Deepa before any mapping changes. - Deepa: bring credit control into the next account-data review. - Lewis and Amara: put together a view of usage against the licensed users, for Malcolm, ahead of the renewal conversation. Please tell me if I have anything wrong or missing. Best, Amara
- Malcolm Ridgway 7 May 2026 11:22Amara, Thanks for the note. Two questions. You say active users are a little below last quarter. A little against what base? Put the number in writing, with the base. And the cost of that is? We pay £127,500 for 200 licensed users. I want to know what we pay for each person who actually uses it, and what that does against the return I can show the board. I am not asking for a features list. Malcolm Ridgway
- Amara Obi 8 May 2026 10:46Hi Malcolm, Fair questions, and you're right to ask for the base. The comparison is the average of daily active users over the last thirty days against the average for the prior quarter. I will send both figures from the usage export, with the dates they cover, rather than quote them from memory in an email. On cost per active user: the contract is for 200 licensed users, so the licence covers far more people than are using it today. I would not present that as a saving. Lewis and I will put together what the licence costs against who is active, and what Deepa's teams are using it for, so you have something for the board that you can check line by line. I'll aim to get it to you before the renewal notice goes out ahead of 27 Feb 2027. Deepa, Tariq: nothing changes in your actions above. Best, Amara
