What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Amara Obi raised a dip in monthly active users ahead of the 27 Feb 2026 Enterprise renewal. Malcolm Ridgway wants the renewal cost and base, and a straight account of the dip, in writing before meeting.
Ask: Amara flagged the dip, noted no invoices are overdue, and asked for half an hour with Lewis Kerr. She said she does not yet know the reason.
Customer view: Malcolm offered Tuesday morning or Wednesday afternoon, not Monday. He said he does not take a percentage without the base and asked what fewer users does to the value received.
Next: he asked for both written items by Monday. The evidence does not show they were sent.

- Amara Obi 20 Jan 2026 17:53Hi Malcolm, I wanted to get a renewal conversation in the diary. Your Enterprise contract runs to 27 Feb 2026, so we have a few weeks and I would rather we used them well than rushed them. Here's what the numbers say: the contracted annual figure is £116,500 for 200 licensed users, and no invoices are overdue, so nothing on the money side needs chasing. What I do want to flag is that the number of people active in the brain each month has dipped compared with the previous quarter. I don't yet know the reason for the dip, and I would rather ask than guess. Your head of commercial systems and the branch teams will know the picture better than I do. Could we find half an hour late this week or early next? I would like to cover three things: what has changed at your end since we last spoke, what the brain is doing for credit control today, and what you would want to see before you sign again. Lewis Kerr will join from our side for anything commercial. Let me know what suits. Best, Amara Customer Success Manager, BB-Demo
- Malcolm Ridgway 23 Jan 2026 12:46Amara, Thanks for the note. I can do Tuesday morning or Wednesday afternoon next week. Not Monday. Before we meet, two things in writing please. First, what the renewal will cost and on what base, including anything that changes from the current contract. I don't take a percentage without the base. Second, a straight account of the dip in users: which teams, since when, and whether it is people leaving or people stopping. If fewer people are using it, I want to know what that does to the value we are getting. And the cost of that is? I'll have a look at the schedule again ahead of the call. Send the above by Monday and we can keep the meeting short. Malcolm Ridgway
