What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26After the QBR, Malcolm Ridgway, the CFO, challenged Daniel Okafor's claim that usage has grown: he wants figures with bases by team, and the effect on debtor days and accounts on stop. Daniel conceded he cannot yet say.
Ask: Malcolm wants usage in writing by team with the base stated, before the board pack goes out. He also wants the worth of the brain stated specifically, or an admission that it cannot yet be told.
Customer view: Mixed. He is content with the rest, but wants evidence rather than adjectives.
Next: Daniel will send usage with bases and set disputed-invoice and accounts-on-stop lookups against the ledger, which needs a conversation with Bernadette Lowry's team. The thread does not show a renewal date.

- Daniel Okafor 12 Aug 2025 08:46Hello all, Thank you for your time at the QBR. I wanted to put the main points in writing while they are fresh. - Usage has grown well on the previous quarter, and more of it is coming from the credit control and key-account teams, which is what the Enterprise tier was bought to achieve. - There have been two tickets recently, neither high priority, and both are closed. - Deepa would like a view of usage by branch group for the regional directors, and I'll prepare that. - Tariq has asked for a short note on how new connectors are scheduled, so he can plan around the nightly load. Malcolm, I know you asked what has changed since we last spoke. The honest answer is that the brain is being used by more people, more often, and I'd like to put together a short note on what that is worth to you in your own terms. I'll come back to you by the end of next week with the usage view and that note. Best wishes, Daniel
- Malcolm Ridgway 12 Aug 2025 11:33Daniel, Thanks. Two points. First, "usage has grown well" is not a number. Growth on what base? Put the figure and the base in writing, by team, before the board pack goes out. Second, "what that is worth". Be specific. What does it do to debtor days? What does it do to accounts on stop? If the answer is that you cannot tell yet, say so and tell me what you would need from Bernadette's team to find out. I am content with the rest. Malcolm Ridgway
- Daniel Okafor 13 Aug 2025 15:33Malcolm, all, Thank you, Malcolm, that is fair, and I would rather be held to it. On the first point, you will have usage by team with the base stated beside each figure, so nothing is a percentage on its own. I'll send it in writing, not on a slide. On the second, I cannot yet tell you what the brain does to debtor days, and I do not want to guess. What I can do is show you how often disputed invoices and accounts on stop are being looked at through the brain, and set that against what credit control sees in the ledger. For that I would need a short conversation with Bernadette's team about which measures they trust. Deepa, would you be able to get us into the room together? I know that is the sort of meeting you like to convene. Tariq, I'll send the connector scheduling note separately so it does not get lost in this thread. Best wishes, Daniel
