Logistical thread: Jordan Pike and Ben Kowalski agree a half-hour proposal walkthrough on Thursday at 14:00. Ben says security and procurement run their own process and the call is not a step forward on their side.

Ask: Jordan wanted to walk Ben through the proposal before it goes to procurement, so Ben can take it internally.

Customer view: Ben welcomes the call but gives no promise on timing and does not override security or procurement. He prefers to keep the technical colleague out unless something technical comes up.

Next: Jordan sends the invite for two people and keeps security answers in writing.

Hi Ben, Quick one on scheduling. I'd like to walk you through the proposal so it's ready for you to take internally, and I want to do it before anything goes to procurement. Here's what I'm thinking: half an hour, just the two of us, with Hannah joining only if you want the technical detail. I can do Tuesday at 11:00 or Thursday at 14:00, your time. To be transparent, I'm not trying to speed past Megan's review. The walkthrough is so you have the full picture while that review runs. Do either of those work? Thanks, Jordan

Jordan, Love it, this is exactly what I need to socialise it internally. Thursday at 14:00 works for me. One thing. I can't promise anything on timing. Security and procurement run their own process and I don't override either of them, so please don't read the call as a step forward on their side. It's just me getting ready. Also, I'd rather keep Hannah out of this one unless something technical comes up. I can pull her in afterwards if my team has questions. Ben

Hi Ben, That's clear, and thanks for being straight with me about it. Thursday at 14:00 it is, with just the two of us. I'll send the invite after this and keep Hannah off it. Nothing in the walkthrough will be presented as a security answer. Anything on that front stays in writing with Megan. If your plans change before then, just say so and we'll find another slot. Thanks, Jordan
