Daniel Okafor flagged fewer logins over the summer. Callum Reid blamed leave and binder renewals, then asked for a straight answer on whether bordereaux views refresh by 07:00. A Thursday 09:30 call is set.

Customer view: Callum put the dip down to summer leave and binder renewals and said nobody has called the brain wrong. His real concern is that one underwriter thought a figure looked old on Friday.

Risk: the nightly refresh by 07:00 is a commitment on every tier, and a stale view could erode trust. Daniel promised to check the refresh records and say plainly if he cannot establish the cause.

Next: Thursday at 09:30, with a screenshot from the underwriter if she can supply one.

Hello Callum, I hope the week is going reasonably well. I wanted to get a short check-in in the diary with you, and I thought it best to say why rather than leave it vague. Looking at the brain's activity over the summer, fewer people have been logging in than in the previous quarter. That is not unusual for August, and I do not want to read too much into it, but I would rather ask you directly than guess. It would help to understand whether it is leave and workload, or whether something about the way the team uses the brain has changed, perhaps a dashboard that is no longer right or a source that has moved. Could we have thirty minutes next week? I am flexible on the day. If you can tell me which mornings are quietest for you, I will work around them. I will not take more of your time than is needed. I would just like to be sure the brain is still earning its place for your team. Best wishes, Daniel

Daniel, Sorry for the delay, it has been a heavy few days. Short version: summer leave, plus a couple of the team tied up on binder renewals. That is most of it. Nobody has said the brain is wrong. What I need is a straight answer on one thing: are the bordereaux views still being refreshed by 07:00? I had one underwriter say she thought a number looked old on Friday. Could not tell if she was right. Thursday morning suits me. Before 10:00 or after 11:30. Can you check the refresh before then and come with an answer? Callum, Thank you for coming back to me, and no apology needed. Thursday at 09:30 works well for me, so let us take that. I will send an invitation shortly. On the refresh, you are right to want a clear answer rather than a reassurance. I will go through the nightly refresh records for the bordereaux sources, and look specifically at the view your underwriter was using on Friday, so that I can tell you what happened and not what I assume happened. If there is anything to explain, I will have it ready for Thursday, and I will say plainly if I have not been able to establish it by then. If your colleague can remember which view or figure looked old, that would help me a great deal. A screenshot is plenty. Best wishes, Daniel
