What it says
What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Final Growth-tier QBR prepared by Marcus Bell on 23 Jun 2026. It reports a second quarter of falling active users, no tickets and on-time payment, and sets a plan to the term end on 30 Nov 2026. It is not a contract and states no price or service levels.
What it is: a quarterly business review deck from Marcus Bell, Customer Success Manager, with Tom Ashdown named as account owner. It says "This is a second quarter of decline, so I would call it a trend rather than a blip."
Commits: no contractual terms. It defers to the executed order form for "contracted annual recurring revenue, the licensed user allowance and service terms". The plan gives Marcus a delivery-exception walk-through and a written value summary, and Tom the renewal conversation.
Unusual: the deck frames the risk as value, not billing: "Invoices are paid on time, so the question is the value of the brain to your teams, not billing." It also notes that few tickets from a shrinking group can mean people have stopped logging in.
Not settled: it gives no user numbers, price or notice date, and no Brackwell-specific example of a retail contract caught early. Owner timings are relative ("next month"), not dated. Tom Ashdown is named as owner but the document does not show his current employment status.

Why we are meeting
This review covers how Brackwell Freight is using the brain, what it is giving revenue operations and the depot account managers, and what we agree before the term end on 30 Nov 2026. Brackwell has been a customer since 1 Dec 2023.
Happy to jump on a call to go through any of this. I've pulled the numbers from the brain's usage records and the helpdesk.

Usage: what the numbers say
Read the whole document (3,365 characters)
- Active users. The average number of people active in the last month is still low against the Growth user allowance, and it has fallen again compared with the prior quarter, by a little under three tenths.
- Direction of travel. This is a second quarter of decline, so I would call it a trend rather than a blip.
- Questions asked. Questions have moved down with the user count. A handful of people account for most of them.
- Tickets. There were no tickets, including none at high priority. Few tickets from a shrinking group of users can simply mean the people who would raise them have stopped logging in.
Value: where the brain is earning its place
Brackwell bought the brain so that revenue operations and depot account managers could see accounts, delivery-exception tickets and calls together, and spot at-risk retail contracts early.
- Revenue operations still use it for account and exception views.
- Use by the depot account managers across Trafford Park and the five other depots has not recovered.
- We do not yet have a Brackwell-specific example of a retail contract caught early that we can point to, and building one is the most useful thing we can do together.
Issues and observations
- The Growth allowance is far from fully used, which will matter when the renewal is discussed.
- No connector or data freshness issues have been raised.
- Invoices are paid on time, so the question is the value of the brain to your teams, not billing.
Plan to the term end
| Action | Owner | When |
|---|---|---|
| Walk revenue operations and two depot managers through a delivery-exception view built on live Brackwell data | Marcus Bell | Within the next few weeks |
| Agree a short written value summary for Brackwell leadership | Marcus Bell, with the Brackwell operations lead | By the end of next month |
| Name a day-to-day owner for the brain in each depot | Brackwell operations lead | Next month |
| Renewal conversation, including tier and user numbers | Tom Ashdown | Before the renewal notice window opens ahead of 30 Nov 2026 |
Next steps
Shall we book half an hour next week with the revenue operations lead? I will bring usage by team and a draft of the value summary so there is something concrete to react to.
Thanks, Marcus
