Training session on 11 May 2026 with Jess Doyle, a team leader, covering search, saved searches and the pages builder. She asked for a page for the claims team and left satisfied.

What happened: Hamza Akhtar trained Jess Doyle on natural-language search, saved searches and pages, then demonstrated building a claims page. The brain had gone live a couple of weeks earlier.

Customer view: Jess found search useful and asked whether a page could be built for her claims team. She asked about filtering, refresh timing and saving searches, all adoption questions.

Commercial: There was no pricing, rival or renewal discussion. Pages are an engagement point on Starter and show early adoption beyond the technical contacts.

Watch: Hamza offered to build and edit the page himself, so the customer may lean on BB-Demo rather than self-serve. The six-month check-in is the only scheduled touchpoint, and the technical contacts from onboarding were not on this call.

Follow-up

Next steps

Current to 9 Oct 26
  • Hamza Akhtar to design and build the claims page with Jess Doyle.
  • Hamza Akhtar to send the features guide after the session.

Risks

Current to 9 Oct 26
  • Adoption may depend on one team leader and on BB-Demo building pages, with no check-in for six months.

Opportunities

Current to 9 Oct 26
  • A claims team page would extend use to a second team and deepen the customer's investment in the brain.
  • Growing use across teams could make a case for a higher tier in time.

Morning, Jess. Thanks for joining. So you've gone live on the brain a couple of weeks ago, and I wanted to spend this session walking through the main features and making sure you're comfortable using it day-to-day.
  2. Jess Doyle
    Jess Doyle None
Yeah, thanks for doing this. I've played around with it a bit, but I'd like to understand the search function better.
  3. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Good. So the search is the quickest way in. You can ask it natural questions about your data. For example, 'show me broker submissions from this month' or 'which claims have pending queries'. It'll pull those together for you. Let me share my screen and show you.
  4. Jess Doyle
    Jess Doyle None
OK, and that queries across the whole brain?
  5. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Exactly. All your data is indexed: submissions, claims, internal notes, everything. So one search runs across all of that. Let me show you an example. Say you want to find submissions from June that haven't been quoted yet. I'd type that in and it gives me the results.
  6. Jess Doyle
    Jess Doyle None
That's really useful. What about filtering by date or by status?
  7. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
You can do it in the search: include that in your question, and it'll filter for you. Or you can use the pages function to build a view that's specific to your team. For instance, your underwriting team might have a page that shows 'pending submissions from the last week', and it refreshes automatically.
  8. Jess Doyle
    Jess Doyle None
Right. And how often does the data update?
  9. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
The data refreshes nightly, complete by 07:00 in the morning on business days. So if you make a change to a submission or a claims record during the day, it's available in the brain by the next morning.
  10. Jess Doyle
    Jess Doyle None
That's good. Is there a way to save my favourite searches?
  11. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Yes, exactly. You can save searches and come back to them. Or you can use the pages function to build a more permanent view. The pages are basically custom dashboards: you design them once, and the team uses them every day.
  12. Jess Doyle
    Jess Doyle None
Could we build a page for our claims team?
  13. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Absolutely. I can work with you to design it. We'd sit down and work out what information your claims team needs to see every day, and then I'll build the page for you.
  14. Jess Doyle
    Jess Doyle None
Great. And if something breaks or we have a question, how do we reach you?
  15. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
You can raise a ticket with our support team, and for Starter, first response is four business hours. We also have you scheduled for a check-in in six months just to make sure everything's running smoothly.
  16. Jess Doyle
    Jess Doyle None
OK, that sounds good. I think I've got the basics now. Shall we do a demo of building a page?
  17. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Yeah, let's do that. So I'll walk through the pages builder. The idea is you pick a data source: say, claims, and then you choose which fields you want to show. In your case, we might show claim ID, date, status, and any pending actions. I'll do that now.
  18. Jess Doyle
    Jess Doyle None
And we can update it if we want to change what shows?
  19. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
Yes. You can edit it anytime, or I can help you edit it if you want to keep it simple.
  20. Jess Doyle
    Jess Doyle None
Perfect. I think that covers what I needed. Thanks for the session, Hamza.
  21. Hamza Akhtar
    Hamza Akhtar None
No problem. So just to recap: you've got search and chat for ad-hoc questions, pages for your regular reports, and support is a ticket away. I'll send over a quick guide to the features, and we'll check in with you in six months. Cheers, Jess.

    Cheers.

Data as of Fri 9 Oct 2026. Text marked AI was written by the brain from the records listed in its made-from link; an AI output that cannot cite its evidence is refused and the previous text kept.
