What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Onboarding call with Marlstone Legal. Credentials for CRM, call recorder and email are in, and Laura Penhaligon is configuring the CRM connector. A draft field mapping is due, with a test refresh two weeks after the review.
What happened: Laura Penhaligon confirmed the CRM service account, call recorder API key and email admin account arrived on time. She has started the CRM connector and flagged custom fields for status, conflict checks and partner involvement.
Customer view: Elliot Kirkby said the team will want to search on conflict status. Emma Jagger offered to be the technical check, with Elliot or business development reviewing the business side.
Commercial: Nothing on price or renewal was discussed. Fast credential hand-over and a clear conflict-status use case are early signs of engagement.
Watch: Only client-facing calls are recorded, so call coverage will be partial. The mapping review depends on Emma sharing the draft with the business side.

Transcript
- Laura Penhaligon NoneMorning, you two. How is the week treating you?
- Elliot Kirkby NoneNot bad. Emma says the IT team has the credentials sorted.
- Emma Jagger NoneGot them over to Laura on Wednesday actually. Sent the CRM service account, the call recorder API key and the email admin account.
- Laura Penhaligon NoneBrilliant, yes, I got them. Thank you for turning that around so quickly. I've started the CRM connector configuration. I wanted to walk you through what I'm seeing in your CRM so we map the fields correctly. You've got a custom field structure, so I need to make sure the brain understands what matters to you.
- Emma Jagger NoneWhat kind of field structure are we talking about?
- Laura Penhaligon NoneWell, most law firms have matters, contacts, billing entries. Your CRM has all of that, but you've also got a custom status field and some bespoke fields around conflict checks and partner involvement. I want to make sure those come into the brain so people can search and filter on them.
- Elliot Kirkby NoneThat's good to know. The team will definitely want to search on conflict status.
- Laura Penhaligon NoneThat's exactly what I thought. So before we do the test refresh, I'm going to run that by your team. I might loop in one of your CRM power users, just to make sure the mappings make sense from a business perspective.
- Emma Jagger NoneI can be the technical check, and Elliot or someone from business development can review the business side of it.
- Laura Penhaligon NonePerfect. The call recorder connector is simpler, honestly. I just need to make sure we're picking up call metadata and transcripts if you have them. Are your calls being recorded?
- Elliot Kirkby NoneOnly the client-facing ones. Internal calls aren't recorded.
- Laura Penhaligon NoneRight, that's straightforward. And email, I'm just connecting the shared mailboxes so the brain can see threads and attachments relevant to matters. That one pretty much runs itself once I have the credentials. So this week I'll have a draft field mapping to show you. Next week we can review it and get feedback. The test refresh happens the week after that.
- Emma Jagger NoneDoes the draft mapping need to be reviewed by us both?
- Laura Penhaligon NoneI'll send it to you and you can share it with Elliot and anyone else you think needs to see it. Then we can have a quick call, half an hour, just to check it's right.
- Elliot Kirkby NoneSounds good. Anything else we need to do this week?
- Laura Penhaligon NoneJust keep an eye on your email for that mapping document. Otherwise, no. I'll be in touch by Wednesday with it. Cheers.
