What this says
Current to 10 Oct 26Imogen Hartley reports the brain is now the team's first stop and usage is rising. A second team is possible; Douglas is supportive but cautious. Daniel Okafor will send a one-page outline before the break and open the spring renewal early.
What happened: Daniel opened with rising usage, no tickets, steady connectors and refreshes finishing before seven. Imogen confirmed managers now ask the brain before trustee calls.
Customer view: Two longer-serving managers asked, unprompted, for the same session for their own scheme lists. Imogen is no longer the largest asker, which she wanted.
Commercial: The licence is for forty users with plenty of headroom. A second team is the next engagement, but Douglas wants it framed as an extension of what managers already do, not a new programme.
Watch: The renewal is in the spring. Daniel wants an early, gentle conversation led by Imogen, so the one-page outline and the note on who is asking what need to go out before the break.

Transcript
- Daniel Okafor NoneAfternoon, Imogen. Thank you for making the time. Can you hear me all right?
- Imogen Hartley NoneAfternoon, Daniel. Perfectly. I've just got back from a lunch that was far too long, so apologies if I'm a bit slow.
- Daniel Okafor NoneNot at all. It's the season for it. Are you all set for the Christmas break, or is it a last-minute dash?
- Imogen Hartley NoneA dash. It always is. Shall we get going?
- Daniel Okafor NonePlease. I've got good news to start us off, which is rare enough in December that I want to say it first. Usage has gone up properly this quarter. Active users are averaging a bit over twelve a day, and that's a clear increase on the last quarter, something like a fifth.
- Imogen Hartley NoneOh, that is pleasing. And it matches what I've been hearing. The session you ran with the longer-serving managers seems to have done something. Two of them have asked me, unprompted, whether they can have it for their own scheme lists.
- Daniel Okafor NoneThat's lovely to hear. How is the team finding it now, beyond those two?
- Imogen Hartley NoneBetter. The real question had been whether it would become the first stop and I think, on the evidence of the last few weeks, it has for most of them. They ask it before a trustee call now, which is what I wanted.
- Daniel Okafor NoneAnd I can see that in the questions. The volume's up, and it's more spread out. You're not the largest asker any longer, I'm pleased to say.
- Imogen Hartley NoneGood. That was a bit of a personal ambition. Less me, more them.
- Daniel Okafor NoneOn the technical side, there's nothing to report. No tickets this month, connectors steady, refreshes finishing before seven each business day. Craig's been quiet, which I take to be a compliment.
- Imogen Hartley NoneHe'd say the same. Quiet is the best kind of report.
- Daniel Okafor NoneNow, the one thing I did want to put in front of you. You're licensed for forty users and, with this growth, you've got plenty of headroom, so there's no pressure there. But I'd like us to think about how you want to use that headroom, because you mentioned a second team when we spoke in the summer.
- Imogen Hartley NoneI did, and I haven't forgotten. I've spoken to Douglas informally. He's supportive in principle but he'd like to see it framed as what the managers can already do, with a bit more, not a new project. He's cautious about anything that sounds like a new programme.
- Daniel Okafor NoneThat makes sense, and it's a reasonable way to frame it. Can I suggest something modest? A short written outline, a page, of what a second team would ask the brain, using your own examples. No pricing, no commitment. Then you can put it in front of him in the new year.
- Imogen Hartley NoneA page, I'd like that. I don't let an expansion drift without someone owning it, and I'd rather that someone were me with something concrete in hand.
- Daniel Okafor NoneThen I'll draft it and send it before the break, so it's there when you come back. Is that too soon?
- Imogen Hartley NoneNot at all, if it's no trouble. It would make January much easier.
- Daniel Okafor NoneConsider it done. Just to close the loop on the other thing, the half-page note on who's asking what, I'll fold the quarter's numbers into that and send both together.
- Imogen Hartley NonePerfect. Anything else from your side?
- Daniel Okafor NoneOnly that the renewal is in the spring, and I'd like to start that conversation early and gently, with you leading it on your side. Nothing to decide now, I just want it to be a conversation and not a surprise.
- Imogen Hartley NoneI'd welcome that. Early and gentle suits me.
- Imogen Hartley NoneRight, I should go and deal with the afternoon. Thank you, Daniel, and have a good Christmas.
- Daniel Okafor NoneAnd you, Imogen. Best wishes, and speak soon.
