What this says
Current to 10 Oct 26Callum Reid accepts Daniel Okafor's notes that usage has dipped, admits spreadsheets are creeping back and that too many questions come through him, and asks for a team session and a value note before 30 Jun 2026.
Customer view: Callum says people still value the brain but spreadsheets are returning, which worries him. He accepts the key-person point that too many questions come through him.
Ask: A practical session by team on live submissions and open queries, and a note on what the brain catches that spreadsheets do not.
Next: He wants the agenda date and the value note before the contract end on 30 Jun 2026.

- Daniel Okafor 12 Jan 2026 12:25Hi Callum, Thank you for making time last week. Just to close the loop, here are my notes from our check-in so you can correct anything I've got wrong. What we covered: - Usage has dipped since the autumn. Fewer people are logging in each week than a few months ago, and the drop is across several of your underwriters rather than one person. - Questions asked are still healthy, but a larger share of them now come from you and a small group around you. I mention that gently, as it's something I'd like us to keep an eye on. - No tickets open, and nothing outstanding on invoices, so I don't think it is a technical issue. - You mentioned that some of the team have gone back to the old spreadsheets for the bordereaux queries. What I'd suggest: a short hands-on session with the underwriters who have gone quiet, focused on their own submissions and queries. A short session at most, in a time slot that suits them. I can run it, or we can ask a couple of your power users to lead. I know you are busy, so I'll come back to you by the end of the week with a draft agenda. How does that sound? And do tell me if I have misread the reasons for the dip. Best wishes, Daniel
- Callum Reid 14 Jan 2026 11:22Daniel, Notes are fair. Two corrections. First, it's not that people don't value it. January is heavy for us and a few of the team are buried in renewals and binder work. That said, I won't pretend the spreadsheets aren't creeping back, and that worries me. If underwriters don't trust the brain for their own queries, the capacity-provider answers go back to being manual and my team loses the week again. Second, you're right that too many questions come through me. That's a risk. If I'm off, who asks? What I need is the session, yes, but by team, not a general invitation. Send me the agenda and I'll get the right people in the room. Please keep it practical: their live submissions, their open queries, nothing abstract. I'd also like a plain note on what the brain is catching that the spreadsheets are not. I want something I can point to before the contract end on 30 Jun 2026 comes round, so the value is clear to everyone. By when can I have the agenda? Callum
