Current to 10 Oct 26Callum Reid requested dashboard-level permissions to restrict sensitive capacity-provider dashboards to underwriting staff only. Bethan Lister explained the feature does not exist, logged it in the product roadmap, and the customer accepted an Excel workaround.
Problem: All licensed users can see all dashboards; customer needs to restrict two dashboards with sensitive capacity-provider data to underwriting staff only. Handling: Bethan clarified that dashboard-level permissions are not available; BB-Demo can restrict data by role in the underlying data layer but not at dashboard level. BB-Demo logged this as a product roadmap item hearing from multiple customers. Customer accepted Excel workaround for now. Watch: Feature gap limits adoption of dashboards for sensitive data use cases.

- created · Callum Reid 24 Aug 2026 11:29We'd like to have more control over which team members can access specific dashboards. Right now anyone with a Fenmoor account can see any dashboard. We need to be able to restrict access to dashboards with sensitive capacity-provider data to only the people who should see them. Is this something you can do?
- public_reply · Bethan Lister 24 Aug 2026 19:58Thanks for reporting this. Just so I've got this right – you'd like dashboard-level access controls so that specific users can only see certain dashboards? Is that correct? And can you tell me which dashboards have the sensitive data and who needs access to them? That will help me work out what options we've got. Thanks, Bethan
- public_reply · Callum Reid 25 Aug 2026 09:04Exactly. We've got two dashboards with capacity-provider submissions data and claims – those need to be restricted to underwriting staff only. Everyone else can have access to the standard dashboards. Right now we've got a workaround using Excel, but ideally we'd move everything to the brain.
- public_reply · Bethan Lister 25 Aug 2026 09:44Thanks for clarifying. Currently the brain doesn't have dashboard-level permissions – you can restrict data access by user role in the underlying data layer, but the dashboards themselves are visible to all users with a licence. This is a feature request we're hearing from a few customers. I've logged this in our product roadmap and it's something the team is considering for a future release. In the meantime, your workaround with Excel is reasonable, but let me know if there's another way we can help – perhaps limiting the specific data that feeds those dashboards for now? Cheers, Bethan
- public_reply · Callum Reid 25 Aug 2026 11:12OK, that makes sense. For now the Excel workaround is fine – we can live with that until you add it to the product. Appreciate you looking into it. When you do get to it, let us know.
