What this says
Current to 10 Oct 26The underwriting dashboard was loading slowly, over 30 seconds on some queries, affecting the team's ability to use it during capacity-provider reviews. Bethan Lister identified a data volume issue.
Problem: The underwriting dashboard was loading very slowly, over half a minute on some queries, affecting the team's ability to pull numbers during capacity-provider reviews. Handling: Bethan checked the dashboard config and found the aggregation running slow over large datasets, likely due to data volume growth. She asked Callum about recent submissions or claims growth and offered to optimize the query. First response took 349 minutes. Watch: Performance optimisation needed.

- internal_note · Bethan Lister 24 Jun 2025 14:37Checked dashboard config; last full sync at 12:15 today. Performance slowness in submissions and claims aggregation. Load time traces show the query iterating over large datasets – likely volume-related, not a system fault. Will ask customer about recent data growth and offer optimisation.
- created · Callum Reid 24 Jun 2025 17:17The underwriting dashboard's been taking too long to load this morning – more than half a minute every time, sometimes longer. We've got capacity-provider reviews starting Wednesday and my team needs to pull numbers from the dashboard in those reviews; if it's this slow, that's a problem. What I need is this sorted by tomorrow, or a workaround I can use. Is this a known issue on your side?
- public_reply · Bethan Lister 24 Jun 2025 23:06Thanks, Callum. I've picked this up. Just checked your dashboard – I can see the aggregation running slow. Just so I've got this right: have you added a lot of new submissions or claims records in the last week or two? That'll help me work out if we're hitting a scale issue or if there's something else. Once I know, I can optimise the query or find a workaround for Wednesday's reviews. Cheers, Bethan
