Marcus Bell warned Rob Ellery that usage is quiet and mostly one person asks the questions. Rob replied that hiring has slowed, everything paid for is under review, and he needs to know what Hollins Tarrant would be paying for.

Ask: Marcus wants to understand how the brain helps the team and what would make it worth keeping, with Tom Ashdown copied for terms.

Customer view: Rob is cost-focused and candid that not everyone uses it daily. He will speak to the colleague who looks after systems before saying anything either way.

Next: Rob agreed to half an hour early next week and asked for times. The term ends on 3 Jan 2027.

Hi Rob, Just a note to say your Starter subscription comes up for renewal at the start of the new year. The current term ends on 3 Jan 2027, and the renewal is pencilled in for 4 Jan 2027. I've pulled the numbers and I want to be straight with you about what they show: - usage has been quiet in recent weeks, and it is mostly one person asking the questions - nothing has been raised with support, so I don't know whether that is because things are fine or because the team has been busy elsewhere Before anything is signed I'd like to understand how the brain is, or isn't, helping the team, and what would make it worth keeping. I've copied in Tom, who looks after the commercial side and will confirm the renewal terms. Happy to jump on a call. Shall we book half an hour? Thanks, Marcus

Marcus, Thanks for the note. To be straight with you, the team's flat out and I'm not going to pretend they are all in there every day. Hiring has slowed and we've had to look at everything we pay for. What would we be paying for? That's what I need to be able to answer. I'll need to speak to my colleague who looks after our systems before I say anything either way. Half an hour is fine, but not this week. Early next week should work. Send me a couple of times. Rob

Data as of Fri 9 Oct 2026. Text marked AI was written by the brain from the records listed in its made-from link; an AI output that cannot cite its evidence is refused and the previous text kept. Where two systems disagree (for example a contract and the CRM), the key facts show both values and mark the difference.
