Current to 11 Oct 26Josh asked how user roles work and needs location-based access so managers see only their home's data. Support explained roles and scheduled a design call.
Problem: Customer onboarding; needs to understand role model and set up location-based access control so home managers see only their location. Handling: Support explained built-in roles and offered custom row-level rules; scheduled call to design access policy. Watch: Active onboarding engagement for data governance. First response was slow (927 minutes, likely after hours). This shows expansion into regulated contexts requiring access control.

- created · Josh Fairburn 26 May 2026 09:48Hi, we're getting set up with the brain now. Can you explain how the user roles work? We want to make sure people only see the data they're supposed to see based on their role in the business.
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 27 May 2026 01:15Hi Josh, great question. The brain has a few built-in roles, Admin can see everything and manage users, Viewer can run searches and view dashboards, and Analyst can build dashboards on top of that. We can also set up custom rules if you need row-level access control for specific teams. What kind of data segregation do you need?
- public_reply · Josh Fairburn 29 May 2026 15:16We need managers to see only their own home's data, and leadership to see everything. So it's pretty much by location in our case.
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 2 Jun 2026 14:19Perfect. In that case, we can set up location-based access rules during the final stages of your onboarding. Let's discuss this in more detail on a call this week so I can understand your home structure. I'll send over a calendar link.
- public_reply · Josh Fairburn 3 Jun 2026 14:48Sounds good. I'll watch for your calendar link. Cheers.
