What it says
What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Final board pack from the CFO, issued 16 Jul 2025, giving three headline figures at 30 Jun 2025: contracted ARR of £640,350, 18 customers and headcount of 30. It is a company document, not a contract, and carries no service terms.
What it is: a short quarterly board pack prepared by Bridget Kearsley, Chief Financial Officer, for the board and the executive team. It states that "every figure below is taken from our records at the quarter end".
Claims: ARR is defined as "the contracted annual subscription value under executed order forms", not the CRM amount. Customers are organisations with a live contract, and headcount excludes contractors and leavers.
Not settled: the pack says it "does not carry a pipeline forecast, a cash balance or a cost breakdown". It names no individual customers, renewals or dates beyond the quarter end.
Currency: it covers the quarter to 30 Jun 2025 only, so it is a historic snapshot and should not be read as the current position at the 9 Oct 2026 as-of date.

Status: Final Prepared by: Bridget Kearsley, Chief Financial Officer Issued: 16 Jul 2025 Period covered: the quarter ending 30 Jun 2025
Headline numbers
| Measure | Position at the quarter end |
|---|---|
| Annual recurring revenue (contracted) | one hundred and fifty-one thousand five hundred pounds |
| Customers | four |
| Headcount | twenty-one |
For the avoidance of doubt, all three measures are stated as at 30 Jun 2025.
Annual recurring revenue
Contracted annual recurring revenue stands at one hundred and fifty-one thousand five hundred pounds at the quarter end.
- The figure is taken from executed order forms, not from the CRM deal amount.
- Our records show it as an annual figure; it excludes one-off implementation fees.
- Credit notes, if any, are treated as one-offs and do not change the annual figure.
- Invoicing and collections are reported separately by finance and are not restated here.
Customers
B-Brain has four customers at the quarter end.
Read the whole document (3,030 characters)
- A customer is counted only where a live executed contract exists.
- An organisation marked "Customer" in the CRM with no live contract and no invoices since its last term ended is not counted.
- Two CRM records for the same company are counted once.
Headcount
Headcount is twenty-one at the quarter end.
- The figure comes from HR records and counts people employed by B-Brain.
- It does not include contractors or former employees who still appear as owners in the CRM.
Commentary
The position is stable and reported on a contracted basis. The board is asked to read the annual recurring revenue figure as contracted revenue under executed order forms. It is a claim that finance has checked against order forms and invoices, not a forecast.
I would be grateful if board members would raise any questions on definitions before the next meeting so that the definitions can be fixed once and then repeated unchanged in each pack.
Definitions used in this pack
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Annual recurring revenue | Annual subscription value under executed order forms, excluding one-off implementation fees |
| Customer | An organisation with a live executed contract at the quarter end |
| Headcount | People employed by B-Brain on the quarter-end date, per HR |
| Quarter end | 30 Jun 2025 |
Risks and watch points
- Key-person and concentration risk are natural at this customer count; each customer matters materially to the whole.
- Renewals are the main lever on recurring revenue, so the renewal conversation owned by customer success is the first thing to watch.
- New business must be set against the same contracted definition so the pack stays comparable quarter to quarter.
Summary
- Contracted annual recurring revenue is one hundred and fifty-one thousand five hundred pounds.
- The company has four customers.
- Headcount is twenty-one.
- The next pack will cover the following quarter and use the same definitions.
Best, Bridget
